They just don't have a very big fanbase, it's a long way and they are playing very poorly.

It really is that simple.

It looks like Lewes will have a season similiar to Droysldens and Derbys.

Having watched them against Rushden, I can safely say they are terrible. They sacked their Manager in the summer and released all bar one of the side that got them promoted. This was because they felt that Lewes had lost it's identity as a local club. They brought in a local guy to help blood local talent and basically said that they arent up for it.

They cannot score goals and their defence is awful. We may cancel each other out !!!!!

Is this attitude something unique to Lewes?  As I recently read an article that they have introduced a local currency down there in order to support and keep money in the local economy!

Sounds like they are a fiercely regional set of people!?

I think theres a kind of "Wicker Man" thing going on. I bet some on here would advocate building a huge straw tomb on Stamford Park and marching GH there !!!!!!

The guy who has been subsidising Lewes needed a bit of a hand financially. Brightons ex commercial manager and partners could help and were prepared to do do , as long as he got to play manager, and got to playhis son and nephew.

I can see why they're upset.

Unfortunately, I can see a 0-0 shocker coming up  :(
