looks like alty should come out to fanfare and warm up with Freebird, raffo shouting down the mic "what song is it you wanna hear?  i cant hear yer, i still cant hear yer................"

Well thanks very much for this thread Gazelle you do realise that before I respond I now have to spend my entire weekend trawling through my untended old vinyl collection. Then I'll end up spending £100 on one of those gizmo turntables so I can digitalise them and put them on my Ipod.

An Alty related the top 3 can only be drawn from the K Tel record which used to get played about half an hour before kick off in 72-3, so:-

1. Mean Girl - Status Quo
2. In the Summertime - Mungo Jerry (regualrly played on cold Winter Monday nights)
3. Amazing Grace - The Pipes & Drums of the Argyle & Sutherland Highlanders

As for Gillan, what about My Woman from Alfreton?
