Can I have 4? please?

Kooks - Bowie
I Want You - Elvis Costello
Strict Machine - Goldfrapp
This Life - Mandalay

Not necessary my favourite all time bestest 4 tracks (although 1st two probably are) but the first four I'd upload

Ended up doin a bit of old an new list in there so you dont give me the 'You dont know what music is sunshine' routine, its a tough one. Think this should be extended to a top ten cos going through my laptop left me with some tough choices. Not to mention the Macclesfield connection with Joy division!

Men's needs - The Cribs
Charmer - Kings of Leon
Its not over yet - Klaxons

Paint it Black - Rolling Stones
Transmission - Joy Division
White Riot - The Clash

Ok, I'll go with:

Columbia - Oasis
I am the Resurrection - The Stone Roses
That's Entertainment - The Jam

These were just the first three that came to mind. Choosing three favourite tracks is impossible.

Gazelle, please edit title of this thread to best ten of this millenium and last! My most interesting afternoon at work for a long time!

By the looks of it and from memories of tapes on the away coach alty fans have always been tip-top in musical taste. i'd be interested to hear what hughesy and ecky added to this as they were possibly responsible for playin charlatans on the way to Bromsgrove once which got me well into them, albeit from northwich!

Anyhow, couldnt resist top ten from this millenium and last, although it would have been easier for a top 20 at least!

(in no particular order)

Last millenium:

The Stranglers - Golden Brown
Bob Marley - Sun is Shinin
The Undertones - Teenage Kicks
The Beatles - Penny Lane
Rolling Stones - Paint it Black
Joy Division - Transmission
The Clash - White Riot
Massive Attack - Unfinished Sympathy
The Stone Roses - Sally Cinnamon
Oasis - Shakermaker

This Millenium:

The Strokes - New York City cops
The Libertines - Don't look back into the sun
Cansei De Ser Sexy (CSS) - Alcohol
Klaxons - Its not over yet
Kings of Leon - Chalmer
The Cribs - Mens needs
Larrikin Love - Six Queens
Richard Ashcroft - Song for the Lovers
Doves - The Cedar Room
The Cooper Temple Clause - Connect

I rarely post on here but this thread has got me scratchin my head (amongst other things), but the first 3 could be:-
Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd (any version)
Stargazer - Rainbow
Like a Hurricane - Neil Young
 :-\
or even
Hurry on a Sundown - Hawkwind
Prime Mover - Zodiac Mindwarp and the Love Reaction
Battle Hymn - Manowar
 :-\
but what about
Faith Healer - Sensational Alex Harvey Band
Riot in Cell Block No. 9 - Dr Feelgood
Kasmir - Led Zep  :-\
Oh sugar I could go on and onbut my will already states that the song Im to get cremated by is the one and only
Freebird - Lynard skynard

After so many votes for free bird you have got me changing my mind a bit but then i prefer the live version of tuesdays gone which i am now listening to

if we got these all on a compilation album do you reckon we could make millions with NOW songs for Alty one
