Brabin gets Cambridge job
« on: June 23, 2008, 05:40:57 PM »

Interesting appointment at Cambridge United : Southport's Gary Brabin gets the job.

A very surprising appointment, but a gamble that may pay off...........would do people think?

I'll hold you to that.

Now my turn - you'll finish 21st, finally be relegated, and maybe you'll realise that having a 'club legend' as a manager in a division that he is way out of his depth in is not on and you'll finally get shut of him. But not before he swears and shouts at his own supporters.  ;)

How long do you keep your managers!!!!!
Loyalty to managers you have none; you even have to phone them up when they are they are on holiday.
GUTLESS.

Three bites within half an hour. It's just too easy.

Not bad for a part time outfit, I think you'll agree!  ;)

Blew what? An amazing  play-off adventure culminating in a trip to Wembley? An amazing cup run culminating in a memorable day at Wolves? The best season we've had for ten years supplying our long suffering fans with some of the best memories for some time?

I'm aaaaabsolutely devastated.

It sure beats finishing in the bottom four every year, eh?

Taking a dislike to a smaller club? Not the case. I have a strong admiration for Northwich Victoria and everyone connected to their club after what they've been through the last few years. They performed a wonderful, miraculous escape last season without the need of bad mouthing other clubs for whatever reason. They didn't moan about budgets, finances or make lazy accusations about the so called 'big' clubs. That's integrity.

I didn't know you'd won this league twice, to be honest i'd never heard of you before we came down here* etc etc etc etc.....

*Am i living upto your 'big club supporter' stereotype yet? 'Cause i have more!

No wonder you got rid of Jimmy Quinn then.

Rinnging him on holiday to sack him and getting a cheaper option with little managerial experience is obviously the logical progression isn't it?
