Yes not all in the garden is now rosy but you showed the spirit we wanted to see on Boxing Day.

Thank you for salvaging a little bit of Christmas before my return to work tomorrow.

I thought we looked great today in the 1st half, apart from comedy of nobody knowing who had to take a corner on the left flank. We got the ball on the floor and were genuinely unlucky not to be winning at half time. The new boys all worked hard and I thought col Little was outstanding up front, working hard and leading from the front.

My only negatives were Tinson who seemed suprised we wanted to attack more at 1-1 against 9 men. We seemed to run out of ideas because they sat so deep. Peyton was drilling balls in from deep and it wasnt working. Tinsons performance was average, as was Lanes. Shottons clearances weregoing all over the show but that was cos he was coming from all over to get to them, his commitment to the cause today was an example to every alty player, faultless!!!!!!

I was well frustrated in the 2nd half but i think we lacked a lot of match fitness in the loan areas and they packed the middle to keep the ball off the floor. We got there in the end and I think we deserved the result. It really meant a lot to the players, I was delighted to see all the reactions at full-time from the players, it seems GH got the importance across after boxing day!

Lawton, Cahill, Shotton, Coburn and Little should get a special mention, they worked so hard.

Cheers lads, even my girlfriend is delighted, no grumpy fella to deal with like boxing day!

"Tinsons performance was average."
He won everything today mate, absolutely everything - on the ground, in the air. Just shaded my MOTM.

"Tinsons performance was average"

The guy never put a foot wrong, and never stopped working.
My MOTM, what a leader.

For someone who didn't have to play another season, Tinson seems to have shown a good deal of dedication & a great deal of professionalism to Alty

he was very composed today, as i think they all were because the increase in the overall level of ability in the team, and the fact that northwich aren't very good, gave them more time.

We should also bear in mind that Northwhich have only improved because they have some loan signings as well.
