Radio Robins buffering a lot at the moment but just caught the essential snippets - johnson fouled for nailed on pen.
edit Radio Robins died on me now - connection refused

Loving it. Reeves has been a revelation this season. One permanent GH signing that has proved to be spot on.
-
Commentary just keeps saying "connection refused" for me.
>:(
-
we are 19th as it stands ;D ;D ;D ;D
-

Commentary just keeps saying "connection refused" for me.

-
Commentary just keeps saying "connection refused" for me.

You are not alone! Can those who still have access tell us what is going on please.
-
19 1-0 as Reeves nets pen after Johnson clearly fouled in box
22 Joseph header cleared off line
from JL
-
The RR broadcast is working fine as far as I can tell - might be worth restarting the browser you are using if you're having problems or deleting the temporary internet files
-
eh i am in charge of big and fat round here
come on alty out of relegation tonight for the first time all seqasomn ????
-
rofl i've just about completed a system restore to try and sort my connection out.
-
Back using real player
-
The gaps in commentary just heighten the tension....like we needed it
-
Grimsby 0-1 Darlington ages ago but I've lost interest in everything other than Alty...
-
COME ON ALTY
-
Ball definitely over the line apparently
-
RR back
-
It's like blankety blank

Too many scouseport trying to listen in I reckon....it's like trying to get an elephant through a drainpipe
-
Who's bright idea was it to tell them about Radio Robins - mine's gone again!
-
Mine's fine.
-
ROFL Bath i wish i had some to begin with,
i using JLs reports and the BBC on the works comp.
-
Definite issues with numbers.....don't tell the away fans anymore.....come on, we want Brian all to ourselves
-
Sorry to hear some are having trouble with Radio Robins - the service is actually operating at less than 10% of its total availablel capacity and has been totally stable for me. I suspect that problems encountered could be due to local internet connection conditions rather than the RR service but I'll keep monitoring it to see if there is anything we can improve on.
-
Mines definately a local connection problem and not radio robins
-
yeah ok here in Sheffield
-

Nothing wrong with service provider here as just tested other internet radio sites and no probs. Continual buffering, then losing connection and getting connection refused messages for RR unfortunately
-
4 3 Southport sub- Williams on
45+1 Bateson coming on for Smith
from JL
-
Working better for me at the moment.
-
says i cannot connect to the internet, but the dammed computer has downloaded updates,How?
-
Very tense here in York. Nerves going like the bloody clappers.
15 mins respite...
-
Bizarrely I've got great reception of background chatter now.....anyway, who cares.....1-0 to the ALTY......come on
-
yeah ok here in Sheffield
no longer ok here in Sheffield
-
Nothing doing for me.
Tried closing the web page and then reloading it and now I can't even get access to the site.
Where for art thou, Brian?! :(
-
HT 1-0 - Penalty was given for Davis on Joseph but ref said would also have given penalty for foul on Johnson
Shouldn't we get two for that!
-
Just got in....come on Alty!! This is going to be a long 45 minutes.... :P
-
Thats just what i was going to put up lol
-
1210 attendance
-
Danylyk sent off
-
Joyce at it again. red for danylyk
-
oh bugger danylyk off second yellow. Why do we have to make it so hard for ourselves
-
Ross the Tosser up to his old tricks again!
-
Radio Robins boys not impressed with that decision - inocuous challenge not worth a booking apparently, first yellow was for verbals in first half
-
Come on.....
-
crap
-
For all the second might have been soft, getting a booking for verbals is unacceptable. Last thing we bloody well need.
-
getting a booking for verbals is unacceptable. Last thing we bloody well need.

Would be more than happy with the point now...... :-[
-
Noooo how much can go wrong in such small time
-
exact opposite of 4:45-4:50 on Saturday
-
Not that were interested in a neutral perspective but my mate who is a Hale based QPR ST holder (long story) is there as a (slightly biased) neutral. His take on the big incidents thus far is as follows:
1. Re our not given 'goal' that may have crossed the line "I am right next to the bent lino. It was on a par with Pedro Mendes"
2. Re Danalyk's red card and his tackle for the second yellow "It was a dreadful tackle"
I somehow knew that it would sooner or later go tits up after 3 on the spin ???
-
I somehow knew that it would sooner or later go tits up after 3 on the spin ???
Yes, never could get my head around the ultra-confident spin on the forum given the season we've had
Still hope and dream........
-
Clee hits post.
-
Its not going to be our night is it?
-
Brian "absolutely ridiculous refering" as johnson booked
-
Believe!
-
no...Tamworth 1-0 Wrexham
-
Southport down to 10.
-
Alty 10 - 10 Southport
-
Joyce now lost control completely - Port straight Red but player not left pitch
-
10 ASIDE NOW
-
Southport down to ten. My mate texts 'they took out Clee'.
-
67 Clee just wide from Connors freekick
70 Clee hits post from 30 yards
. Johnson booked
72 after Clee fouled Southport man takesout another Alty man - sent offLever- ten a side
we can still do this
-
COME ON YOU RED & WHITE BASTARDS !!!
-
I really wish Reeves was still on.
-
Sounds like an absolute cracker to be fair to both sides with the standard indifferent display from the match officials.
-
We could do without any more suspensions at this rate we might not have a team for saturday
-
RadioBobins.com :-*

RR is working much better second half
-
RR is working much better second half
Same here, it's been great for the second half.
-
Brian doesn't seem to rate Mr Joyce!
"Where do they get these clowns from?"
-
As expected, it's becoming the Ross Joyce show.
That bloke is a disgrace.
-
Who'd have thought this with tonight's ref as well? latest text update:
"Both sides going for it. Ref has lost control"
-
Tamworth 1-1 Wrexham

keeper taking p1ss with time wasting
-
FT 1-1
Joyce is a git
-
FT at least we are out of the bottom 4 but the win would have been great.Lack of discapline by Danylyk let us down by the sound of it
-
Well done lads, a point is not a disaster by any stretch of the imagination.
10 points from 12 is a good return and we should go into Saturday with confidence.
-
barrow and tamworth drew too..
Shame we couldn't get the 3 points but come on look on the positive side.
-
Give me Northwich any day to these
-
Well not unexpected really and unbeaten in 4

Just to let you know, the RR sound is now crystal clear an uninterrupted (as it was at half time) when others may have switched off I would suggest

Exactly! We were effectively dead and buried three weeks ago and now it's 100% in our own hands.
We know that as long as we outperform Hayes & Yeading and Forest Green over the next 6 games we'll stay up (barring a miracle from Eastbourne or Histon).
-
206 away fans so a good showing from Alty home fans for a Tuesday. well done all.
Radio Robins is fantastic, thanks very much gents. I think we exiles need to start a scheme where we donate to the on-line bucket collection for this service everytime we use it.
-
Can still hear you guys
-
The aftermatch sounds...chatter....Cheshire cup......windows sound
-
It's absolutely solid as a rock now guys...crystal clear and uninterrupted
-
Radio Robins seems not to have an off button at the broadcast end ;D

mentioned that once or twice Bath and you're correct. Not saying we have to set a fee to use the service but I think putting a few quid in the online bucket or similar is the correct thing to do.
-
and then they were gone
I'd contribute to that, no problem
-
Very frustrating but not surprising.
I think the inner pessimist in all Alty fans thought that four wins on the trot was almost too good to be true and so it proved. If early reports are correct it appears the officials erred massively when failing to award us a second goal at 1-0 when the ball apparently crossed the line. They do that and were 2 up at home at HT and its effectively game over.
Still, with 6 games left and our fate is completely in our own hands, 3 home and 3 away. I wouldn't bank on us taking anything at Fleetwood and Grimsby so I'd suggest we'll need two wins at least out of Cambridge/Newport and Eastbourne at home with the away game at FGR being the six pointer to end all six pointers.
-
It is beginning to look as though FGR away will be the relegation decider.
So gutted I'm working that weekend!!
-
Given that some have had some problems with what is after all a free service, we may have to pay a small fee to get more reliable hosting - I dont think it would be anything too expensive but probably worth considering as there does seem to be a demand for the commentaries.
Thanks to all for listening again and to those who had connection issues for your continued patience!
Cheers,
Paul
-
Well, what a strange match. Events on the pitch were odd and the atmosphere was so emotionally charged and volatile. Throat is bloody soar as...
It's an okay result, after all they had beaten Luton. But I just can't help feel deflated. That bloody Joyce should have sent himself off the bloody pillock. >:(
We played very well in places, Johnson is a new man, some brilliant attacking play by Smithy, Usual passion by Connors, Clee was brilliant, but there was a bit of a scare in the first half with Coburn! :-\
And my already ill advised shirt printing turned out to be the worst idea ever!!!
-
well now the dust has settled abit,im sort of happy were out of the zone just, but just is good anuff, best chances went to alty clees inside post was so cruel on the heart, then clean through good save by the keeper.conners was suberb again full of energy that lad,my man of the match again.great crowd atmosehere from both sets of fans.final note who would want to be a referee lol.

I would be more than willing to pay some form of subscription......thanks again guys for all of your efforts, both technical and commentarial.
-
The referee absolutely ruined the game - shock! Danylyk was a fool admittedly, but the ref was literally a laughing stock all game, i cannot wait to hear AltyTunnelStewards views on this one, should be funny. The game itself, Connors and Clee immense, Dale up top causing problems all night. If we had 11 men all game we would have won easily, onwards and upwards roll on saturday. Another thing im sure i saw Shaun Densmore having a little warm up before the game, would be a great boost for the run in.
-
Postives- out of the drop zone for first time since August , unbeaten in 4 games, played well in patches , decent crowd espec with england b on telly , home support hasnt topped 1k on a tues for a while until tonight ?
Negatives the ref , danylk out next game , smith injured
-
The Ref is getting a slating on Port Chat too. I have a feeling it will need us to beat Eastbourne on the final day.
-
Phew what a night !
Let's bank the points and look forward to Saturday with the positives, Clee, Johnson, Reeves, Joseph, Connors all immense.
1 Robbie looks fitter and up for it
2 10 points out of 12
3 Out of Relegation zone, first time since August
4 A good crowd for a Tuesday - let's keep that up
5 We made chances - and IMHO deserved to win
Negatives.......................................Danylyk stupidity when will they learn it's not worth mouthing off to the ref.
Baynes .....................................waste of ...
JOYCE IS AN ABSOLUTE EMBARRASSMENT ( Kenny shouted don't talk to him he's an idiot - sums him up )
A DISGRACEFUL DISPLAY OF REFERRING - BLOOD BOILING NOW..............!!!
-
The Ross Joyce Show...
We did enough for the win but considering the circumstances a draw is good enough for me, I would have taken three points from this and Darlington so to come out with four is fantastic.
-
at the end of the day, the ref once again ruined it...simple as
BUT FINALLY WE'RE OUT OF THE RELEGATION ZONE....
i never thought id say that
-
As much as the ref tried to ruin the game, he didn't, because it was a cracker. End to End with Alty having the best of the chances and on balance should have won the match. But that was a great advert for Conference football, some neat passing football mixed in with a bit of blood and thunder. A good crowd, out of the bottom 4. If you didn't enjoy that then your not a football fan.
Great stuff, roll on Saturday.
-
i often wonder is marc joseph the same player he was before christmas....another great performance and bullet header, carl brillaint again he'll go far
-
Joseph is that good now because he has got youngy with a calm head next to him..... those two have struck up a good partnership much like reevsyy and dale up top....
-
Joseph is that good now because he has got youngy with a calm head next to him..... those two have struck up a good partnership much like reevsyy and dale up top....
Youngy didnt come at christmas though....josephs has (bar tamworth) played exvellently, but i take your point,
Id like to see - despite injuries ect... us try and build cm/cb/strike partnerships - especially strike ones
-
A superb game and two teams who battled it out to the bitter end Dale Johnson was my man of the match by a country mile he was kicked from pillar to post by the two centre backs...
I did warn you that The Super Ref Ross Joyce would be the star of the show and so he was..
Someone told my misses that he is being fast tracked to the Football league.. My response to that is... The fkn sooner the better, the man is a knob, and his two assistants werent much fkn better tonight
A great effort by all the Alty players and on another day they would have come away with all 3 points.
Just a shame that Joyce will probably command the headlines yet again.
Superb turnout... Hope you all return on Saturday...
Onwards and Upwards lads,
Cmon The ALTY

Sorry if I'm not funny S H but here we go.
The Referee and the stand side assistant were poor but poor for both sides.
As has been said before it's a matter of position. Our penalty in all likelihood wasn't and could just as easily have been a FK to Southport for Dale having their guy round the throat (How Mr Joyce could have said that it was the other way round bemuses me)
Anthony sadly was irresponsible in getting his second yellow card. A challenge he probably didn't need to make and (again sadly) an inevitable second yellow.
From what I heard the joseph header was nowhere near over the line although the defender who cleared it was almost entirely so (Only the bit connecting with the ball not being)
The Southport player sent off was unlucky. Earl Davies was very lucky so I suppose they balance out.
I will repeat something I have said before here.
Despite what some people may believe Referees are not dishonest, they do not cheat ANYONE. However, as hasd been proved tonight they are quite capable of a (very) poor performance but aren't we all?
-

All things considered, I think the officials at this level are ok, especially when you consider it is the 5th tier of football. My only issue is referees trying to balance the game.
For example when it came to giving Davis a 2nd yellow card, you can almost see the ref thinking, "Oh, I gave a soft sending off 10 minutes ago, I can't send another one of their players off"
I do worries about officials who let previous events influence their decision in the present.

The thing is though Phil - Ross Joyce always has a 'bad game' when he refs at moss lane! I ve seen many games at ML over the years and always dread him reffing coz you just know hes gonna make a cock up of it and its unfair on both teams not just alty. He should hang up his whistle. I did a better job of reffing the under 7's at george's footy training the other week - and im not qualified. Sorry Phil - hes a muppet where reffing is concerned - NO QUESTION. How did both he and his assistant miss the fact that the ball had gone out for a throw by yards when both benches were saying it had. The look on Joseph's face when he realised hed picked it up and shouldnt will stay with me for a long time, but he shouldve played to the whistle tho! How many 'poor' games does this ref need to have before he's told sorry mate - you cant effin reff. GET YER COAT! No offence to you Phil, as I can see you in some way agree, but you put it in a nicer way than I could.
-
Here is one for you.
I think Ross Joyce referees the game the way an assessor would want to see him referee the game.
For this reason he will be in the league and beyond very soon.
-

Hope your right Ecky - then we wont have to put up with his terrible errors when reffing. I wonder if he makes as many mistakes in his day job??

Mr Joyce was very poor tonight whoever you support.....problem is we all suspected as such, days before kick-off........but fair play to ATS for his considered comments on Ross 'bloody' Joyce
-
Phew what a night !
Difficult to argue with any of that.....good points very well made.
-
First of all congratulations to Ken, Bimmo and the players for hauling us out of the bottom 4 for the first time this season...what an achievement!
Credit to both teams for serving up an entertaining game that the ref and his officials repeatedly attempted to ruin for everyone who had spent good money to watch the players.....it is often said a good ref is not noticed...by that defintion these clowns are not fit for purpose.
Would you be happy if you paid to go to the theatre and the director kept marching onto the stage to correct something?...or the prompt kept shouting out the wrong lines to the actors?
The Referee and the stand side assistant were poor but poor for both sides.
Two wrongs don't make a right and they weren't poor, they were appallingful dreadful making baffling decisions.they may as well as plucked 3 members of the crowd at random to officiate the game....couldn't even get the clock right...played about 6 minutes over in the first half and only played about half the measly 4 mins added in the 2nd half.
As has been said before it's a matter of position. Our penalty in all likelihood wasn't and could just as easily have been a FK to Southport for Dale having their guy round the throat (How Mr Joyce could have said that it was the other way round bemuses me)
Bemuses me how anyone can say that as everyone right behind the goal were debating which offence he'd actually given the penalty for as Dale (in front of the southport defender) was clearly hauled back wwf style....it was two nailed on penalties for the price of one...
Anthony sadly was irresponsible in getting his second yellow card. A challenge he probably didn't need to make and (again sadly) an inevitable second yellow.
rules are rules and it's for the good of the game ? here ATS is extolling the letter of the rules of the game and if right how come Davis who spent the night wrestling dale johnson didn't get a second yellow....my view from the opposite side was it was a ball anthony didn't need to go in for but given the high pace of the game the challenge was not out of place, maybe it was a yellow card, but the inconsistency in the ref's mindset is what annoys fans when compared with his mindset when letting davis off repeatedly.......
From what I heard the joseph header was nowhere near over the line although the defender who cleared it was almost entirely so (Only the bit connecting with the ball not being)
So you're not sure but taking the assumption that villifies the decision?...and I'm sure we all know the ball has to cross the line and it's not a goal if the ball is kicked by someone behind the line.......as it happens I don't think it was over, i was more bemused at Josephs late winner ironically chalked off after he's spent half the night being held in the penalty area by davis....even though it was probably the right decision I just found it ironic.
The Southport player sent off was unlucky. Earl Davies was very lucky so I suppose they balance out.
Yep unlucky for repeatedly deliberatly crocking Clee and finally elbowing him when in the face as they fell to the ground.FFS...we'd rather all just have the correct decision most of the time with common sense applied and that is what the officiating kingdom of heaven and starmakers just does not get.
but congratulations ATS....an excellent attempt to defend the indefensable and possibly the first time you've defended a ref by basically agreeing with the rest of us that he was indeed sh*t.
-
PS...The Referee and the stand side assistant were poor but poor for both sides....you missed out the popular side assistant who gave 50% of the decisions the wrong way, the other 50% he just stood there and looked at the ref....and the 4th official who apparently couldn't even tell the time....a full house!
-
The referee may have made some cock ups.... but isn't it nice to come away from a match that for the majority we dominated, and being disappointed that we didnt win.Everyone was excellent, the defence looked good, the midfield 3 were good untill anthony got himself sent off and the front 3 caused problems all night,
Thanks for an excellent night alty
Bring on Saturday
-
The referee absolutely ruined the game - shock!
Sorry if I'm not funny S H but here we go.
The Referee and the stand side assistant were poor but poor for both sides.

This T**t seems capable of having a poor match everytime I see the little turd... As previously posted, Once again the little sh*t is taking all the headlines for the wrong reason... He is a fkn disgrace and the sooner he pisses off to the FL the better for us in non league soccer.
-
If my memory is correct Ross Joyce reffed us at Newcastle Blue Star in the cup, and if I remember correctly he was reasonably OK.
My theory is that as he is some sort of ref mentor in the North East he has to ref properly up there. Get the git away from there and he can become the centre stage attraction and so refs like a...................put in any description that fits.
Or did someone from Alty say something to upset him at Newcastle and he is still taking it out on us.

Jezza - you have once again demonstrated that your ability to interpret what someone else says to mean what you want has not diminished with age.
I'm not trying to defend Mr Joyce in any way, if you ask the people I was talking during and after last night you'll find that I was probably as critical of him as I have been of anybody for a long time.

I am at a loss Col tbh
To have been at the level he is for as long as he has and to be spoken of as a potential National List Official Ross Joyce cannot be as bad as he is when he comes to us.
He Referees regularly in the Conference and the Premier League Reserve Competitions and seemingly has less problems with every game that doesn't involve Alty
He was however (for the benefit of Jezza) very bad last night.
Maybe he should cry off all future Alty games??

Phil. You can only comment on what you see and every time I have seen him officiate a game the words Good and impressive does not come to mind.
The vast majority of nigh on 1200 fans and officials cant all be wrong

Can you spot the Freudian slip in the Blue Square write up of the game. Maybe it wasn't a penalty after all......

The ball was clearly over the line according to my source at the game (not an Alty fan btw) who was stood right next to the goal and seemed pretty sure . Can't believe we've had 3 of these incidents in our last 3 games, :o

"The result leaves Altrincham on 40 points and in 20th position on the table, only one point separating them from the relegation zone, while Southport are one position higher with 41 points."
They make it sound like we are plummeting like a stone!
