Evening everyone
First of all I would like to welcome any travelling fans to Dean St and to Shildon itself. Anyone arriving early and wanting something to do other than drink, there is a big event on to mark 1oo years of our local park. This is in Hackworth Park itself and is just a few mins walk from the ground. We also have a cracking railway museum {20 mins walk, 5 min drive]Those who want to have a beer, there are plenty of hostelries, all within a few hundred metres of the ground. But watch out for Gone Fishing's marauding jawdeez.Thats right there is none as this is mainly a Sunderland town that has a supporters club with over 300 members, and they don't. This is evident if you pop into the local workingmens club{100 metres from ground].Although you may see a smattering of them wandering around like the set of The Walking Dead.So red and white stripes are very welcome.Hope you all enjoy your trip, but not too much and it is a good game with a decent crowd, though i suspect the event in the park may affect this.
Regards
S.M.
