Title: Bath City Predictions
Post by: markecky on January 20, 2011, 03:13:16 PM
I like Bath City..lovely place and a proper old school Conference club.

I also think they are a pretty good team as well.  I have just watched them hold Luton 0-0 at home on their website, a game they should have won.

Tough game Saturday...

Altrincham 1 Bath City 1

Att - 924 - 80 from Bath (based on the fact they seemed to have loads at the services when they played Darlington)

We really should be beating teams like Bath City, one of the BSPs lesser lights.
A fairly straightforward 4-0 victory or questions will have to be asked of our management team.

(This is the Luton forum, isn't it?)

Ecky is right. Bath are pretty safe and doing well, so a draw would be okay. If it were offered I'd take 4 points from the next two games now.

Watched Hayes v bath - like said  4 points  would be welcome but should we win Saturday I'd be disappointed with a draw on Tuesday.

1-0 alty - man of the moment reeves or a first penalty of the new year

Alty 2-2 Bath

As others have said, Bath are a decent side who played some good football in the reverse fixture. They are not to be underestimated.

Alty 1-0. Can't see it being a high scoring game.

100% agree wont be easy, Bath are a decent side

Thing is that we NEED to win these games, whoever we play if we want to stay in this league

I just hope Bath City bring the drunk transvestite which was there as we approached the ground... But they can leave the police incident :).. And some of the fans in the social before the game MUST take a trip out of Bath and visit Altrincham, it'll cheer up a few faces :)

Still bemused and was a little concerned about what might greet us in the ground after the early indications but no problems whatsoever.

Prediction. 2-1 Alty

I also think this is the day goals return to Moss Lane, but 4-2 to the Alty.

We could really do with winning this one but Bath are a good side on the evidence of the game at their place. My head says draw most likely outcome if we can field a viable defensive setup but my heart says home win.

We won 4-1 three times that season all at home. 4 times if you include Farsley at home in the FA Cup

I think there'll be goals in this one, taking us to win 3-2 (Baynes, Reeves, Densmore). Attendance 885 (74 from Bath).

I think Saturday will be another game that shows BSP football to be 46 one off games where one barely has any bearing on the next one.

Perhaps a bit of a shock to the system to go two goals down and we peg it back to 1-2 or even get an equaliser*.

A bit like the game at home to Eastbourne the other year.

Att 698 like the good old days, 40 from Bath. We ought to re-sign Andy Rooney for this one, they can bring back Paul Adcock (?) and Adie Mings as well if they like!

* I should add that this is the polar opposite of next Tuesdays H&Y game where I think we'll go two up and hold on for a tight win.

Today on my lunch I watched them play Crawley.  Wish I hadn't..no idea how they lost!

Very fast going forward..we'll have to be right on top of our game.

Hope Denham and Carl are fit...they will make such a difference

Bath are a god side who went on a great run after the 2-2 at Twerton Park.  I am not confident - would settle for another 2-2. Everyone note they have come from 2-0 down at least another 2 times since playing us (including a 3-2 win at Southport), so no "Easy, easy" please"!
