The weather is getting brighter by the minute & whilst it is still below freezing at present, the frost is thawing nicely.

Really nice sunny day in Liverpool. Looks like the Northwest is blessed.

The North West is certainly blessed.
I am in Redhill, Surrey and it was well below zero last night. At 9am this morning the roads were like an ice rink, although there has been a big improvement in the last 2 hours.
I coach footie to kids on a a Astroturf surface which has quite a bit of sand. Even that had a coat of ice this morning so the training session was cancelled.
It will be interesting to see if the Eastbourne supporters coach makes it on time or if it makes it at all.

Eastbourne to Alty, now that's a long old trip. I've got this image of about two fans turning up with a flag waiting for all their pals who got stuck on the coach.

I remember a sign on the All Weather sports area at Chester College a good few years ago: "Closed due to the weather!."

I thought thr roads were like an ice rink uo in nthe west of Scotland until I realised I'd taken a wrong turning and was on an ice rink!

Were they too big to get thru the door?

Well there is a bus replacement service for the railway between Eastbourne and Lewes this morning due to ice on the line.

Wouldn't be a good start if you were going by public transport!

I wonder how many a can journey that would be.....
