Looks as if our first Cup game will be Sept 17th (2nd Qual Round); other dates 1 Oct (3Q); 15 Oct (4Q); 5 Nov (1).
It seems there has to be a 3-week gap between 4Q & 1st Round Proper to allow for the number of games needing rescheduling for TV in the 1st Round (!) so the malign tentacles of the TV companies now stretch as far down as the Cup basement - the competition will actually start on August 6 (Extra Prelim Round), a week before any sensible league would probably plan to start its fixtures.
I believe our League fixtures are due out early next month? I'm not clear as to the start date - if our League season starts on Aug 6th it will be the earliest date we've ever had a competitive game & if the fixtures don't come out till the week beginning July 4th, for example, it will leave precious little time to make travel arrangements should we start with an away game (I can see us getting somewhere like Darlington away first up!). Ridiculous, in my humble opinion - the fixtures should be available six weeks or so before the season starts & that should never ever be before the second Saturday in August.
