What a Farce!
« on: April 05, 2008, 09:06:43 PM »

From the official site:-

LATE START
Because Setanta TV intends to cover a BSP game live at 5.15pm on the last day of the season (Saturday, April 26th) all fixtures in the BSP will now have to kick off at that time on that day. This means that Alty fans cannot expect to get back from Weymouth much before midnight.

On the plus side, we won't have to get up so early!  :P

Perhaps Weymouth v Altrincham will be the televised match?!

Looking at the final day fixtures i suspect Burton v Exeter will possibly be the game show if they're both still battling for a play off spot.

Well bearing in mind our crew expect to be in town for 11am, we are now in danger of missing the match as well as the chance of getting home. Some degree of alcohol restraint, previously unknown will be required. No chance of a train home to London anyway now. Hope the beach is comfy.

Or maybe Vics v Cambridge as it could be important to both ends of the table. In fact, on those lines maybe Halifax v Stevenage.

Or they could just let us all kick off at 3pm and show Stafford v Droylsden at 5.15, I'm sure none of the bottom 6 would cry foul at that.  :)

They are not permitted to show any live game between 3 and 5 because of the potential impact on attendances at other games.

Lets face it OT would be half empty wouldn't it  :o

Lets hope its a nice day so those of us making a weekend of it can enjoy the sea air. But I agree its a bit late for those travelling down just for the day. Why should we have to change all our plans just because of the premier league, they wouldn't change their match times to suit us would they? "Please Mr. Ferguson/ Wenger/ Benites (or whoever) can we delay your match for an hour so that the Alty fans can get home in time to watch your teams get beat in the Champions League. ??? :-\
