Seen that and the rest of PJP's assessment of various topics. I truly like what he says, I believe he will deliver for us.
Good Luck to Sam in his quest for regular football, the goal he scored when he came on a few years ago was a superb highlight in his current time at Alty.
-
No loss really, good luck for the future Sam.
-
Sorry to see Sam go . Defiantly has a bright future ahead of him
Was a brillaint ambassador for the club on and off the pitch
Did a lot of work in local schools etc
Good luck for the future

Right decision for club and player. Jones, Harrison, Hannigan and Lynch are all better defenders. How PP is going to get it down from 24 to 18 is beyond me. I predict Omotola to go next, unless contracted.
-
All depends who's on contract I suppose and for those that aren't it depends if they want to fight for a place or try their luck elsewhere as Sam has done.
-
Never nice to see a local lad leave but definitely best for Sam himself to go elsewhere and play regularly. Very talented on the ball just needs to become a man in the defensive sense. Agree with the above though, finding it hard to find 4/5 others who will be told they can go elsewhere.
-
Best of luck to Sam, good to see Parky is his own man (not that I thought he wasn't at any point).
Sam will do well elsewhere and won't struggle for a club, best both sides are honest about what they want early on and then it's sorted.
On the subject of releasing people, is Simon Richman on a world tour? He isn't good enough to miss most of pre season and rock up and walk into the side.
-
The one area we do seem overloaded is wide players/No.10-type players - we've got Hancock, Wright, Poole, Peers, Hulme, Johnston and Miller when he's fit. No idea who might not make the cut of that lot though.
-
Always a sad to see one of our own depart, but right decision for both parties. Good luck Sam.
Don't see why this should effect his role on the community side.
-
Best wishes Sam. Wherever you end up fella you will get plenty of games to show what your all about .
Good luck

Totally agree with this, he must be on dodgy ground to make the cut.
-
Good luck to Sam. I am sure he will have no trouble getting a new club quickly, while I found it difficult to see how he would fit into our current squad.

Maybe he'll be one of the players that doesn't make the final cut,I presume he's no longer on a contract?
-
Richman may well have been missing for the last 3 months, but I bet he won the pre-sesason bleep test!

I work every day with Simon's uncle.............he explained that after university (think Simon has a degree in Chemical Engineering from Manchester) Simon struggled (like many) to secure a job. He said the job involves a stint at a plant in Barcelona and that he could not get out of it.
He is there at the moment and my colleagues sister (Simon's Mum) is ensuring he is keeping himself fit and training !........ ;D

Thanks for the update - I hope to see Simon back to his industrious best this season.

Simon Richman is crap and always has been - should have been let go like most of last seasons rubbish

Will close down players quicker than anyone else at the club, including Taylor. 100% could do a decent job this season, especially if we only play two centre mids . I like Moult but I feel Richman and Taylor could be effective together, full of energy.
-
Out of the 4 Moult is one who can spray the ball about. I not seen Taylor attempt a 40 yard crossfield yet. Richman can't pass it 5 yards.
Moult, Taylor, Sheridan then Richman would be my pecking order.

I'm still not sure Taylor is ready for a regular starting birth while I think Sheridan will be an important player this season.

Taylor is more than ready. For me the first name on the team sheet for the centre mid role. What is he 18 or 19?perfect age, all this nonsense about protecting teenagers is rubbish. This is when you should play them, they have the energy and need to learn the game. He reads the game spot on already, mature beyond his years. Rooney was at his best at 18/19 without a doubt.

It's good to be able to discuss who the best options are rather than knowing it's going to be the same sh*te week in week out!
-
Can see one of the four being frozen out ,probably Richman, unless we havea midfiled injury crisis or lack of form he probably wont get a game
-
Taylor has been one of our standout performers in pre-season and I've been very impressed with Sam Sheridan. I'd go with that pairing, at least initially.

I've only seen one pre season game so maybe I'm wrong about Taylor being ready? If he is as good as everyone is saying then I too can see Richman being the odd one out especially with him missing so much of pre season.
-
Now is definitely not the time to be rash, especially after the debacle of the last couple of seasons.
If the budget truly allows it, I'd love to run with all four initially - they all know how quickly they can be cut if their standards drop.

I would assume at least one is on pay as they play/squad. Maybe even 2. Richman and Taylor potentially? Therefore we might be able to
-
Think Taylor is contracted
-
I'd be amazed the years Richman has been here he's on play as you play
