Rumours on our forum say that the pubs will be closed near the ground on police orders?!

Any truth?  Will weatherspoons count as it's in the town centre...?

Really hope not but they insisted on them all closing when we played Millwall in the cup last year. That game by the way passed off without incident of any note and it kicked off at 3pm. This is the same force that deal with Utd and City, they seem to be allowed to carry on as normal, I really don't get it.

It will be a daft decison if its true mate, surely if they shut them and people want a drink they will just get a crate from Tesco and drink, very strange to even make it a 12KO for two teams that have never played.

It would be strange, the best thing to do would be to open up the King George, abot 200 yards past the ground (away end) on the opposite side of ground from the town centre. You could all congregate there (assuming anyone comes at 11am and go into the away end without meeting anyone.

A reliable source told me that no pubs have been asked to shut on the day.
