One of halifaxs most influential players this season has been released, must be a reason why, however being a local lad, I wouldn't mind seeing him bolstering our midfield

Interesting comment from the man himself on the Halifax forum

"Read a lot of comments on hear regarding why i may have been released eg my mental state, wanting to pursue my career in being a ref or a falling out with the club.. NONE are true, ive never been happier in my personal life and was really enjoying my time at Halifax and was looking forward to extending my stay there for many years. From what ive been told ive been released due to football reasons eg not perfoming well enough etc so i hope that clears that up.. Id like to wish all the players and staff the best of luck for the rest of the season and thank all the fans of Halifax who made me and my family very welcome and wanted. Im gutted to be leaving but life goes and i hope one day Fc Halifax return to the football league where they belong....

Sounds like the player is as miffed as anyone why he's been released. The footballing reasons baloney can only mean they expect to bring someone in who is of better quality than him.

I wouldn't bet against him joining Stockport.

He's 33, not much potential left, Halifax are a club looking to the future and are making room for a brighter prospect i think,

he could get us to the play offs though????

Neil Aspin states that "he couldn't offer him the security of a contract". Financial reasons ? The guy has had an awful lot of clubs.......we don't want another Twiss scenario.
