Ricky Harris and Colin Alcide? Little and Senior? Andy Reid and Neil Morton? Ken Mckenna and Paul Showler???
Mckillesky and Denham.....
-
How could i forget...... Joe O'neill and some kid from whythenshawe lee..???
-
Hendley.
I take it you're use of the term "strike partnership" is based solely on goal return as a duo as opposed to a one-sided goal tally?
-
Johnson & Rogers. Simple as that :)
-
Best that is!
-
It was Lee Hendley. Had great potential but got a bit big for his boots and disappeared, never to be seen again.
-
Swindells and Worth anyone?
-
Whitbread, Rogers and Johnson!!
-

Green?

Rogers and Johnson. No contest.

oh yeah it was green :)
-
Worst = Brook and Mitchley
-
Johnson and Rogers, with Whitbread and Howard supporting.
Worst would be Brooke and Mitchley.
-
McKenna and Brady.
Little and Thornley.
-
Statistically the worst is Ricky Harris and Andy Green with 12 goals between them in 93-94 season.
Swindells scored 82 in 65-66, with Pat Connolly weighing in with an additional 34
Swindells and Worth managed a combined 71 in 66-67, 63 in 67-68, 57 in 69-70 and 39 in 70-71 for a total when together of 230
Johnson and Rogers: 37 in 77-8, 49 in 78-9, 27 in 79-80, 23 in 80-81, 18 in 81-2 and 12 in 82-3 for a total together of 166
So my heart says Johnson and Rogers, but the facts demonstrate clearly its Swindells and Worth
-
Little and Thornley.
Was going to say that too. To think what a Thornley of 2002/03 and Little 2004/05 partnership would had done!!
Chambers and Power/Russell didn't do too bad
-
In recent times, Marcus Hallows and Colin Little?

Lies, damned lies, and statistics. Johnson and Rogers were facing a higher standard of opposition than Swindells and Worth had to cope with.
Worst ? Apart from those two donkeys currently grazing at Moss Lane, I give you.....
Shreeve and Furnivall.
-
I endorse Shreeve and Furnival - WOEFUL. Mind you, I never rated Mick Moore either
As a key measure - there is NO game in which both Shreeve and Furnival scored whereas Green and Harris both scored in a 3-1 win at Stalybridge and 1 2-1 win at home to Runcorn
-
Swiddles and Worth for me as the best followed by Rogers and Johnson,as for the worst no idea

Bill,
An additional point to consider: after the arrival of Barry Whitbread at Moss Lane in October 1979, Jeff Johnson switched from being a centre forward to a new role as a left-sided midfield player.

Swiddles and Worth
Sounds like a firm of solicitors. :D or is it one of your favourite beers Phil?
For what it's Worth (!) I'm going for Swindells and Connolly.

Reminds me of the time Oddbins in Alty advertised a certain beer as "Wadsworth Sick Sex!"
But then I once advertised Bishop's Finger in Safeway as "Nun's Delight!"

All time dream partnership - Little and Swindells
All time nightmare partnership - Twiss and Brook
-
All time dream partnership - Little and Swindells
All time nightmare partnership - Twiss and Brook
Disagree. Peter Thompson edges out Twiss on this one. In fact, we've hard a few that are worse than Twiss!
-
Wasn't fortunate enough to see Swindells & Worth but Jeff Johnson and John Rogers were a class act.

christ on a bike! worse than twiss! what so we have had players that would class as -1 squad player because of him literally eating the wage budget for 2 seasons :)
-
Cult - I think we moved Jeff into midfield because he wasn't quite good enough to cut it as a striker at APL level. Apart from his hat trick at Mossley he struggled to find the target early in the 79-80 season, with only one league goal before Barry Whitbread joined us. But what a great servant of the club. Perhaps my favourite Alty player ever
-
Since I've been going McKenna and Brady hit about 50 between them in 90-91 granted I can't compare them with others I haven't seen
-
Swindells and Worth anyone?
Undoubtedly
-
It was Lee Hendley. Had great potential but got a bit big for his boots and disappeared, never to be seen again.
I think he is playing in the Alty Sunday League at the mo
-
Swindells & Worth for me, then Rogers & Johnson, but don't write off Hughes & Phil Smith! (how's that for a left field view?), but they didn't play togther enough...
-
McKenna & Brady v Vics amazing ;D Keith Russell & A.N Other when on fire.
-
Swindells and Connolly probably followed by Rogers and Johnson
Pat Connnolly was the unsung hero, drowned by the magnificent achievment of Jackie. A lot of Jackie's goal were as a result of the presence of big Pat, a typical and gracious old fashioned Centre Forward.
-
Reeves and Watmore, if they ever get enough time together. ;)

I think he does'nt like playing lawrie and watmore in the same team, but i agree watmore reeves is waiting to take off!!
-
Redshaw and Reeves were pretty good
