We could very easily pull Chester and Guiseley into the mix from here, provided an upturn in results. Fingers crossed COME ON ALTY

Updated, this league is that sh*t it's like going for gold with Henry Kelly, you just can't get booted out no matter how bad you are, two wins since November and we are somehow still in the game. Pull your fingers out lads

Tuesday noteable fixtures

Halifax v Borehamwood
Torquay v Chester

No beneficial results for us regardless of score

How on earth we still have a chance is beyond me
It's been a season of unremitting misery, major surgery needed next year, whichever league we are in.

I vaguely recall enjoying our first FA Cup win over league opposition for 21 years! What's making me miserable is our failure to take our chances in the last half dozen games, which if taken would've seen us safe already.

I agree with you regarding celebrating that win over Barnsley, JTH.

However, I do recall a few of us at the time saying that the victory would be rather hollow if we were to find ourselves playing a Vanarama National North league fixture at Curzon Ashton 12 months on.

The warning signs were there back in October/November (and probably as far back as last summer in the shape of Sinnott & Tolson's poor recruitment).

No one would listen Cult. There's posts from me on here after the Macc game beseeching us to be proactive and get reinforcements in before it became a reactive issue and emergency.

This thread has outlived its usefulness. If our three remaining games were against Long John Silver's XI, Henshaw's Blind School, and our own Walking Football team, we'd contrive to lose them all. What happens elsewhere just isn't relevant.
