The club's reaction is recorded in the Non-League Paper, where chairman Jim Rushe "has called on the Conference to declare an amnesty for insolvent clubs... Rushe says clubs are so terrified of the Conference's financial rule they are hiding their debts instead of seeking help.. Rushe opined, "There are so many clubs in trouble, really in trouble, and hiding it on a weekly basis that no one knows the true state of the league... The time for punishment is over. Someone at the Conference needs to get down off their high horse and declare an amnesty... I'm not saying this out of self interest'".

The man must be on drugs, there is simply no other logical explanation!

Breaking down some of the quotes

"There are so many clubs in trouble, really in trouble, and hiding it on a weekly basis that no one knows the true state of the league" - in my opinion that is true. Vics know that's true, they've been trying to do that for years.


"The time for punishment is over" - it is time for points deduction type punishments alone to end.  I have tried to put the case on here for other penalties, longer term penalties, some points lost, some demotions, some transfer bans, some financial etc.  In my opinion the current "let's dock 'em some points" is causing chaos as we get to the end of each season.  There must be a re-think of this.


In summary - his comments make some sense to me, until the last bit...

"I'm not saying this out of self interest' - lying turd.  The lying little runt. That stupid line detracts from some of the points the man was trying to make.
