In Tuesday's Robins' Review, Graham Heathcote wrote, "You will have read I have allowed Lee Elam to leave. As I have always said, I don't keep anyone who says he wants to go and, whilst Lee tried to kid me by saying he was going to a club below our league#1, the fact he popped up at Northwich doesn't worry me one bit. I knew [this] before I told Derek Wilshaw (club secretary) to cancel his registration and I have never been one to worry where a player goes. I'm only bothered about what they do whilst they are here. Lee wanted to play regularly and I won't guarantee that to anyone. I also think a contract to the end of next season [at Northwich] would be tempting, I hope he gets paid at Northwich". #2
