Young squad
« on: September 17, 2012, 09:26:36 AM »

I've commented before about this probably being our youngest squad that I can remember. In the absence of our two oldest outfield players on Saturday, the ten who started in front of Stu had an average age of under 24. And Duncan wasn't among them ! Only Danny Hall was over 25. If this squad can be kept more or less intact I feel quite optimistic about the next few seasons.

Very good point. The issue with this is how short or long term fans will look at things.

Depends on our last 4 results at any given point in time.    :D

Slight error in original post. Old Reevesy is, of course, 26  :)

Some people are more concerned with the last four minutes than they are with even the last four games

We've now equalled our longest unbeaten run under the management of Lee Sinnott i.e. four games.

No better way to set a new record than by avoiding defeat at Shildon on Saturday!

Really? I would suggest looking long term is not really possible given that the players will not be on contracts for any longer than 18 months and liable to leave for higher clubs at any given time.

Otherwise yes.
