COLIN Potts could return to Moss Lane for the new season after impressing manager Graham Heathcote in preseason training.
The 29-year-old winger joined up with Alty after a trial period with Major League Soccer side Real Salt Lake failed to work out.
He originally left the club last season after questions over his fitness led to a lack of first team opportunities.

But after spending the remainder of the campaign with Conference North side Barrow, Potts worked hard to get himself into shape and has so far made a good impression in training.
Heathcote told SAM Sport: "I have never had any qualms with Colin Potts' ability, it was only his fitness that was a problem.
"We let him go last year because we didn't think he was fit enough for this level of football.
"But he has worked hard and has fitness has looked good in training so far."
Heathcote saw 24 players report for the official start of preseason training on Saturday, which included a handful of trialists as well as first and reserve team players.
And the Alty boss believes the signs are good for the coming season.
He said: "Overall, looking at the squad as a group, our fitness levels were very good.
"I don't think we have that many problems with our footballing ability, just whether we can meet the fitness levels required to play in the Conference.
"So the early signs have been good."
