Not that bothered about losing a cup match we are never going to win, romantic yes, but with our good start to the season I would rather get 3 points at Boundary Park in a fortnight and maybe a good run in the trophy.
Dorking up next followed by Kiddy both winnable to keep us on track.
Not sure giving up half the ground to away fans is the way ahead to be frank. It’s not ALL about money folks.
The view from the pop side for home fans wasn’t good unless you are 6’ 4”
The tannoy needs adjusting or the bloke who operates it does…
Marriott was MoM
Isaac Marriott was definitely MOM. I couldn't believe it when Amaluzor was announced - they must just let the nearest young kid to the microphone pluck a name out of thin air.
Their additional squad depth definitely helped - they cranked it up a gear when Reid came on, and the goal followed a sustained period of pressure from them - we had nothing to turn to ourselves.
Although - that said - not sure what Sithole's meant to do with 5 minutes plus stoppages.
I do fear that, when Chris Conn-Clarke doesn't show up, we don't show up - the lad can't have a worldy every week, and he obviously can't do it all on his own. I agree that Newby was the only one that looked sharp, and the other three forwards were well off it.
Probably a good reality check, and a reset going into two winnable home games.
Possibly recorded in last evening's Cheshire Senior Cup tie.
In the post-match interview with acting-manager Ross Speight, he mentions that the substitutes Jack Chandler and Harrison Howells are both aged 16.
So, the question now remains: which one is the younger of the two..?
Can we class that as 6 in a row and 8 unbeaten???
Just seen PP post Gateshead interview. I think even PP and Neil are having a night off but will be there obviously taking notes etc, , I think reserve team manager and other team coaches will be running it Young lads given a go plus a couple of trialists, plus fringe first team players such as Tom Jones, Owen German etc will get a chance. Phil is using this game as an opportunity to give experience and bring on the development throughout which I think is a good ideaBased on that interview bought tickets for tomorrow, now 47 sold!! Thats poor, though some will pay cash I guess.
I like to see the young lads and fringe players get a run out and I’m one of the few who watch The CSC.
If you watch the Managers interview the camera framing made it look like PP has an Afro but in actual fact it was a Tree behind him.. Quite amusing. Good interview as well.
