"I’m hoping I could be back for next Saturday (at home to Corby), but I don’t know if the physio is going to be a bit more conservative about it.
"As soon as I haven’t got any pain, I’ll be back in training."
Riza feared he could out for three months.
He added: "I’ve taken the cast off it and although it is bruised and swollen, I’ve been able to put weight on it.
"I even rang the physio yesterday because I wanted to have a little jog on it, but that’s me probably rushing it a little bit.
"I just want to get back in the team, because you get in the rhythm when you’re playing and I don’t want to lose that."
Meanwhile, Riza will be delivering tickets to Histon and Impington residents ahead of the Corby game following the success of a similar initiative before last Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Blyth.
He said: "I’ll be going house to house, and any lucky person who answers the door will get a ticket to the match.
"I gave out 200 a couple of days before the Blyth game, and 100-odd of those came, so hopefully that will continue because we want to get as many people in the stands as we can."
