Classic old grounds Mister....for a ground buff like me Leeds Road looked a peach to visit.

Have the teddy bears turned to stone yet?

interesting thread all round this one.  Thinking back to grounds I've been to that are no longer there...

Filbert Street
Burnden Park
Maine Road
Drill Field
Leeds Road
The Old Wembley
Saltergate or whatever the official name was
Old Show Ground
Rockingham Road

not sure whats happened to the original Enfield FC ground.

how the game has changed in 20 years or so.

Went to Sealand Road in the late 70s - a league cuo tie where Chester beat Walsall. I missed an earlier chance to go to Sealand Road to see them play Hartlepool as I had my first experience of All Bran and it didn't agree with me!

Yes (Cheshire League), No, and Yes (CL and NPL) ! I thought they were both dumps but could understand why the home fans liked them in a strange kind of way!
