I don't know if it was my actual first game but it's my earliest memory of watching Alty.

Fantastic game. For some reason, the thing that always sticks in my mind is that on the TV pictures of the game, when Ronnie Ellis volleys in the winner, some flash bloke with a cigar stands up and applauds right in front of the camera. There always seemed to be loads of that sort in the main stand in those days and even now cigar or pipe smoke always makes me think of Moss Lane. Coming from a non-smoking household, I guess it was the only place I ever encountered those smells.
