Sinnott cut a frustrated picture on the website last night, I think we've got a decent squad we are just lightweight and lack a couple of leaders on the field in my opinion, we get rose tinted glasses about the year we finished 5th and got promoted, but we were very similar, an average side with a striker playing a leagueor two below his ability, difference is in that season, when we had off days there was always two or three on the field to drag us through the game, be it Gary Scott nicking us an undeserved point at moor green or val dragging us through at BPA, we haven't got that this year, that's what's missing

I agree.
I also don't think the CN was as strong back then either. I don't recall many teams having big attendances or being bankrolled (Droylsden ?) - but maybe I haven't taken my rose tinted spcs off !

This TEAM is nowhere as good as the 2005 TEAM

Eddie, Val, where they in this team? Never say die, this TEAM? Never not even in the same league

FAO Jamie and Jim, your repeating/qualifying what I said? Just using differing words.

This team couldn't hold a candle to the 2005 side

Disrespectful to suggest otherwise

Not fit to wipe the arse

That team was a TEAM.

Far from the most technically gifted but they worked for each other and would never say die....as shown in the play offs.

As others say i feel this current team is full of good players but lacks characters and character!

As fans we used to have a song for every player in that 2005 team and used to go through them all before kick off at most home games. There just doesn't seem to be quite the same connection between the players themselves, and the fans and players.

Hopefully on Sunday they'll make names for themselves.
