Drawn before the final qualifying round has been played, but it's quite an attractive one as the winners of Monday's game at Tadcaster are at home to Oldham Athletic.

Time for some giant killing.
We had a good run a few years back iirc. Anyone remember or have the details?

You might be thinking of 2015-16 - got to 1st Round Proper, lost at home to Rochdale.

2013-4 2nd round. We'd won by the odd goal in 9 at Runcorn Town, beat Vauxhall Motors 4-1, and Nostell Miners Welfare 10-3 (both at home), and then beat Wrexham 2-1 at Moss Lane in the 1st.Round proper.
Despite going down 4-0 at the Bescot Stadium, that run qualifies as George Heslop's finest few hours !

I remember going to Oakwell to watch the youth away at Barnsley in the FA Cup but that was a good few years ago. It may have been the same game that goalkeeper Ashley Timms brought no gloves with him and the coach had to stop at a sports shop on the way to buy him some!!

That must have been around 2003 since he was born in 1985.

That's the one I was thinking of, thank you.
But do we have a list of the players? How many "made it" I wonder!

Think tadcaster would be the harder of the 2 games

Only a tad harder though.

There's a couple of fa,iliar names in that Barnsley team, not least Nicky Wroe who's most recent visit to Moss Lane was with Bradford Park Avenue for the FA Cup game

Wroe & Simon Heslop were outstanding that night.
Kieran Lugsden's penalty miss was one of the wildest spot kicks ever seen by an Alty player.
