Good evening gentlemen!
I'm also following events via tinterwebs.

I like the formation - always feel better when Val and Bush are centre mids.
Seems fairly even so far.

Come on ALTY!

Val definitely deserves to be recognised for Saturdays effort- he looked very impressive, particularly in the first 20 mins or so of the second half, until Crawley were forced to make a couple of subs to get more of a hold on the game.

The management also deserves credit for the 2nd half performance. OK we got an own goal just before H-T but the difference between the first and second half was massive - first half we looked like we couldn't pass it at all, had about half a shot on goal and looked certain to lose. Second half we closed down, defended well, passed well and broke well. Dunno what was said at H-T but the team looked miles better in the second half.

Altrincham FC First Team / Re: Alty staying up?
« on: February 10, 2007, 12:28:31 AM »
Fundamental fact for us to stay up this season will be getting 1 (or preferably both) of Val and Bush back for as many games as possible. These fellas are solid, quality midfield players -Val to close down and win the ball (and score the odd cheeky goal) and Bush to set things up going forward. We'd have several more points if these 2 hadn't missed recent games. Get 1 or 2 of these back and we're OK.

COME ON ALTRINCHAM!!!

Altrincham FC First Team / Colin's column
« on: February 09, 2007, 11:23:47 PM »
Another very good column in the SAM from Colin Little - very honest.

We all know Colin is Alty through and through and we all know Colin has the class to nail any defence in this division. There's plenty of games to go and plenty of chances to nail it- let's keep at 'em!!!

COME ON ALTY!!!!

live second half commentary here:

apparently Col Little had a shot cleared off the line on 39 mins.

commentator suggested that debutant left back Scott made a bit of a balls up for the Kiddy goal - let's hope he improves and does a good job for us.

would we not stand a better chance of affording a left back if there weren't 6 or 7 strikers in the squad, plus a new one now on loan?

edit last post: - for 'stoker' read stroker. no offense to stoke, i'm mullered. :D

702
typical half assed inaccuracy. let's hope big col reminds this media stoker tomorrow that he's still at alty and bags a couple. ;)
