Previous seasons down to 9 men & 2-0 down we would have capitulated. I think this is a creditable result against a decent team under these circumstances

When Burns scored the tension in the Mansfield players and fans was obvious. Their 32 got screamed at by fans for letting a ball drift out for a throw in at 2-1.

If we had kept all 11 on the pitch I am sure the result would probably have been different. They were very physical. but we need to learn to not rise to the fouls. Doughtys was silly and senior was unlucky.

From the commentary he raised his hands - you do that you are off! Why was he unlucky?

There were plenty of players raising there hands, Smith appeared to punch an opposition player. Senior did push the opponent but only on the chest. I thought he was unlucky.

Senior was not unlucky! He ran over to the player and pushed him to the ground two handed.

You need to get yourself up to date on the rules then.

I dont really recall the ref making any mistakes?

if you raise your hands thats straight red - and two yellows = a red= 2 totally uneccesarry reds for retaliation in my eyes-

Senior pushed the lad in the face with 2 hands. If that's not a sending off I don't know what is. The initial foul had nothing to do with him, so for him to run up and do that was idiotic.

Their player should have been shown a red for the trip on the edge of the box as we were about to shoot - mistake by the ref.

As for the sending offs they were correct.

With 11 men we probably could have won, but we didnt and I to be honest I would rather lose 2-1 showing one hell of alot of passion than lose 2-1 and not fight.

SOmetimes I am really dissappointed when we lose, but not today, i was proud of the team (sending offs aside).

I thought about the tackle on Sean Densmore outside the box. I was certainly cynical and deliberate, but as to whether it was a clear goalscoring opportunity I don't think so.

It was a definate red, Clee fouled the player because he was pissed at not getting the foul 3 seconds earlier in his favour, Mansfield player goes over and has a moan, Senior runs up to him and pushed him to the ground two handed like you the quote says, simple, raise your hands EXPECT to get sent off.

I'm guessing Doughty said something to the referee to warrant his second yellow, or did he follow through i was distracted, either way on a yellow again...

To be honest the referee was at least consistent in booking the Mansfield player that kicked it into the net and then booking the player that kicked Densmore BY ACCIDENT, his head was low, the player went for ball, and an accident happems, such as, it wasn't a yellw card..

It's one game, we probably would have won/drawn that on another day, and also on another day probably gone down without fighting.

Next Saturday will soon be here  :)
