pre season

Starts now.

A 5/6 additions, 2/3 out the door and we could quiet easily be title winners next season

I havent felt this hurt in years. Not even relegations

So who are you getting shut of then?

Which positions do you want to strengthen?

How do you suggest that we pay for this nett increase?

I would not get rid of anyone, but would bring in 3 or 4 players to strengthen and provide more depth with the cup money.

To be fair ATS if we didn't strengthen in the Summer, then I would question the ambition of the manager and board because all of our rivals will.

Looking at the stats we're not tight enough away from home.

We conceded 29 goals on the road whilst all the other play-off sides conceded between 18-23.

You might reply that this is because we play an open game away from home. However, our scoring record away is similar to all the play-off clubs: 44 vs 37-43.

Whether this an issue in defence or midfield (or both) is for the manager to sort out.

The argument for strengthening is potentially a title winning one, whereas the argument for not doing so is unfathomable. We do not have sufficient strength in depth to win this league. It's a no-brainer!

I've seen most teams in our league this season and this is what i'd suggest (depending on availability of course)
Lee Neville FCUM left back
Tom Hannigan VM centre back
Danny Boshell Guiseley centre mid
Rob Hopley Colwyn striker

Personally Paddy Lacey, Danny Mitchley for starters, to be replaced by a CM and a Stfiker.

So would mean bringing two more in atleast, theres Danny Hall who is probably not on penuts who could probably be distributed.

We have a really good core of a side whove shown over the last monthsshow they can get us out.

Don't retain Hall and Mitchley and a keeper and sign up those that arn't signed already.

Im assuming Boshall will stay, along with Reeves and Watmore.

So we need as a priority, a CB, an out and out RW and big strong pacy CF.  We wouldn't be to far from a very good team with only three quality signings.

BTW people moaning about Clee's sporadic performances, he's been playing with a slipped disc since the Gloucester game away.

Who was that Workington winger who by all accounts tore us to shreds in the game at ML?
