Holmes in Back 4 or Back 3?

Is it just me who saw Holmes in the friendlies play at right centre back.

His positioning was really good.

I really do think the back four or maybe three should include him.

I don't necessarily think it'll work but perhaps Robbie Lawton at right back? he can more or less do a job anywhere on the pitch and you can't question his commitment.

definitely a back 4 IMO we give far too much room out wide as it is and we get exploited down each wing everytime we play

Anyone who saw us on saturday would hope we never attempt 4 at the back again with this current crop of players.....

Listening to what people say about Eastbourne and the fact McKenna himself has said 'he's learned lessons' - I would hazard a guess we will not deploy that system again and will see 3-5-2 tomorrow

Just hope it's chucking it down and we get a lucky break such as the keeper slipping on his arse and the ball trickling in, we must be due a little bit !

Gotta be a back 3.  Do not have the personnel to play 4-4-2.

We were fine with 4-4-2 for a spell alst season with Smith and Williams there and Densmore and Doughty as full backs.

I'd be inclined to put Welch and Williams together and put Smith at right back to sort out our problems down that side. I'd also have Nicky Clee if fit at left back rather than Brown.

Given how slow and off the pace for Conference football Holmes is in midfield I wouldn't risk him in defence whether it's a 3 or a 4 to be honest.
