See main site. Full time Gateshead struggle in the face of a depleted squad, reduced budget, and falling gates. We did say on this forum two years ago that it was bound to happen. Will these clubs NEVER learn that you can't sustain full time football with a core support of 400 fans ?

makes me fecking angry at times.  These clubs are loved (even the green slime) LOVED by their fans, only for some cock to start a vanity project. This is a general statement not specific to Gateshead but it could be applied to numerous clubs.

Gateshead probably suffer more than us with having two huge football clubs next door to them.  Plus the reality of watching their team with a running track between them and their players.  Its not really a ground where you can get excited apart from seeing Jonathan Edwards leave after training.

Ecky's maestro please keep stum  ;)
