Worked so hard from 1 -11 against such a solid outfit.

Don't want to pick out individuals but thought Leather and Havern were immense today.

Absolutely delighted, we've dug in and won.

First test = passed.

Yup, very good team performance. best I've seen this season, taking into the account the opposition.

Walshaw excellent too. More of this should see us in touch with the top of the league come the end of the season.

It wasn't just an excellent result, it was an excellent performance too. I mean, Reevsy tracking back, whatever next?
I thought anyone could have won motm, Scot was my favourite, but i'm glad a striker got it, since we were much more of an attacking threat than them.
A final well done to Lee though, i was the first to condemn him after Trafford. We were set up today to beat Brackley at their own game - and we bloody did!

a very pleasing and impressive result that proves we are at least play off contenders.....don't think the league will be as open and winnable for a few years so let's do it!!!!

I thought that had we lost then we were not really good enough to win the league...

A fantasic result and a performance that was both hard working and solid.

My mom was Leather.

Don't want to be negative but it does alarm me is the fact Turley didn't have to make a save.

And he did bottle it with the formation

I'd say that Turley didn't have to make a save due to how well protected he was by his soild defence.  They seemed to block everything.

Likewise Stuart was protected well (although a bit busier) by Luca and Scott.

It seemed like two pretty evenly matched teams and given the size of their wage bill, the fact they had conceded 4 before today and were unbeaten I was happy to be matching them.

I wanted to see some players angry at the way we whimpered out of the playoffs and I think we got that today.  So for all the no bottle quotes we have given them on here after Trafford then they are rightly getting praise today.

It's about opinions but for me playing a formation that worked well against a bottom side in a top of the table clash would have been a gamble.  It might have worked, but if we'd lost 3-0 I think that posts would have said he shouldn't have tried a new system in a big game like this.

I still think the other formation is the way to go though but can't be anything other than made up that we have put one over of this lot.

I agree with that. I don't see how people feel we have to play with the same team/formation all the time. Today's team was perfect to play Brackley - they never had a sniff at our goal and i'm pretty sure Billy saw slightly  more of the ball than Stu anyway in what was effectively a war of attrition for the most part.

I bet Turley wished he could have had a sniff. (Probably cocaine), the posing T**t.
