There's news about Simon Richman on the club's website now.

This had been rumoured hadn't it?
Really sorry to see him going. He's been a stalwart for the club and never let us down.
Hope he gets fixed up where he can get a regular start (NLN?)
Thanks for the contribution you've made and thanks for the memories!
Good luck in the future Ringo!

Many thanks for a decade of service from a dependable player in which ever role he was asked to play. Many thanks and good luck

Would have thought Southport could be a good move too?

Best of luck Ringo, been excellent for Alty, 110% every game. Played many positions and never lets you down.

Will be greatly missed by myself and many others.

With respect I would have hoped that Williams would have departed before Ringo and that he'd not be the only one

For anyone to clock up ten years at a club is an achievement, and I do wish him the very best. He filled in very well last season, when called upon, in different positions, but it's probably better for him to play somewhere now where he can be a regular rather than a squad player.

He has figured in the 16 so infrequently this season I'm not sure he can be classed even as a squad player

I take your point, but we did have a very large squad last season in its unusual circumstances.

Obs a squad player, but an infrequent match day squad player

Echo everything above. Had to end at some point.

Thanks for loyal service and 100% every game

What a shame, but time marches on. It's been my privilege to be Simon's home shirt sponsor this season, so I'm looking forward to receiving his last ever Alty top. Thanks, Simon.

So sorry to hear this news... guess was always a possibility with a big squad & decent player who hadn't been involved as much as usual during last season...

10yrs service to one club is amazing these days & what a quality, versatile player he is... played in virtually all the outfield positions over his time with us...

An outstanding player who made 368 club apps over10yrs!
We will miss him & wish him well for the future...
Good Luck & thanks for the great service Ringo!

I would imagine a significant factor is the fact that he has got another career. I can't imagine it's compatible with charging up and down the country.

Thought he was the best player on the pitch when we beat Barnsley, very sorry to see him go but it was definitely time for him to move on. Thanks for everything Ringo!

Really sad day as Ringo has been a loyal and reliable player for us for so many years.
He will do a great job for someone, pity PP made the decision to let Simon go, best wishes Ringo, you are a great lad  :)

Good luck Ringo. You were a great member of the Alty team over the last 10 years. You always gave 100%. I will miss watching you.
