He's been playing in the Masters Football on Sky for Rotherham - helping them into 2nd place in the Yorkshire competition - and doing rather well.

Is he the first Alty player to play in the Masters?

I've seen a few other ex Alty players playing in the Masters in the past - Brian Kilcline, Mark Ward, Nigel Gleghorn, Ally Pickering, Jamie Hoyland and Tony Kelly are a few I can think of off the top of my head. Possibly Steve Morgan and Ray Wallace also.

I went to the Masters yesterday, thought Daws played quite well and scored a good goal against Leeds in the final.  If we had Robins and Mimms still in the team from last year then I think we would have won

I had no idea that Pickering used to play for Alty - Millers legend.
