Reasons to be cheerful
« on: October 16, 2010, 05:14:31 PM »

We're still unbeaten at home under Ken McKenna.

We're now within 1 point of getting off the foot of the table.

Coburn was, by all accounts, back to his reliable old self today.

Joseph was man of the match today - more of the same please!

Twiss's goal was apparently a top class finish.

There are some real tough times ahead of us, but I truly believe we can get out of this and survive!

Its about keeping postive, sticking together and believing we can do this.

Exactly.

We've only played two of the teams in the bottom half at Moss Lane.  There's ever reason to believe we can beat several of those teams at our place.

Some difficult games coming up but we just need to keep a bit of confidence and belief. And get behind the team though those games.

A win in the cup next Saturday would be nice too.

Today we were brilliant. Simply brilliant. I hoped Joseph would get man of the match, because in fairness he kept Curtis totally out of the game. I could see the goal coming from Twiss, as he looked a different player from the start - I think the immobility of Linwood and McNulty was perfect for him. The new players were both excellent and made a huge difference. The most pleasing aspect about today was the effort - 100% from start to finish. A very proud Alty fan today.

congratulations your team battled for the 3 points  always knew you would with new manager in charge, we gave you a goal one of Mcnultys rare mistakes ,we was turned down a blatant penalty .Twiss is a good player as i said last season when he was at Staly, not sure about brilliant as 1 or 2 of your fans are saying depending on how poor you were other games but we was shocking and apart from you lot battling lacked anything else and if not for a mistake wouldnt of scored either .Anyway good luck for rest of the season hope you stay up always nice to have a localish game and i apologise for the dic with the megaphone
