This mess needs sorting out.

Must have cost us a pot of money as well, and that's before possible further restrictions, sorry, "protections" (except for their victims) this week.

According to their findings, the risk of myocarditis approximately  doubles for most of these "vaccines", though with the Moderna one it is apparently as much as 14 times higher. The increased risks indicated in the study would appear to be broadly in line with the increased amount of cardiac incidents reported among footballers and other athletes in 2021.

The evidence seems to be mounting up for a heart risk from these "vaccines" and any younger males at low risk who are considering having these products 3 or 4 times a year for a decade (as some are suggesting) would be well advised to research this matter carefully first. One might reasonably assume that if there is an issue as suggested by this study, the risk will increase the more times one takes this medication.

Altrincham FC First Team / Football League is stopping matchday "testing"
« on: December 30, 2021, 11:58:17 PM »
Apparently league players will no longer be tested on match days for a virus that's been going round unless they have symptoms of it.

I presume this testing business is continuing in the NL? Just to be clear, I am not prepared to buy a ticket days in advance for a match that could be called off at any time. If there are tickets still available on Monday, then fine, but it is disappointing that once again this season people are having to miss out on a significant number of matches. Hopefully things will be back to normal after Stockport (or if we go down). Lucky old Narine not having to worry about getting to this level.

Still, it begs the question - how credible are some of these rules  if they can't realistically be enforced? And how much will people's respect for rules be damaged? I remember a story that people were more likely to keep speed limits when they could see that there were good reasons for them. Now we have been living through a time where it is virtually impossible to keep every rule (as politicians have repeatedly demonstrated) and that baffle many. I fear a lasting effect.

Solihull Moors too (when our injury situation was bad enough even before adding the effects of the testdemic).

A few weeks back, people were getting carried away saying we might finish top half, and now we could go down?

Trust me, we'll be here next season barring a disaster, and my original prediction of 14th to 16th likely won't be far off. Parky said we would have a bad run at some point and guess what - we have.

Incidentally, did they decide if we would get the game called off a similar situation happened again? Nuts if we have to make loan signings on the day of the game to get it played.

We won't go down unless we have a serious injury crisis like 1997. Almost certainly (unfortunately).

Maybe worked against us today with Wrexham having Sunday off. And it is putting pressure on the NHS. It is an inappropriate measure according to South African sources in the face of a highly transmissible but mild virus, and it has to stop.

Meanwhile, several studies now show negative "vaccine" effectiveness, including this one.

https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.12.20.21267966v3.full

It includes a comments section at the bottom, and appears to suggest that people who have had 2 doses of these mRNA "vaccines" may be more likely to spread "covid".

And a doctors' group has investigated whether the recent increase in sudden collapses (notably among athletes) may be linked to "covid vaccines", here.

Non Altrincham FC Talk / Sounds a right mess in Wales.

With crowd limits of 50, Welsh rugby wants to know what they are supposed to do about lower league matches on council land where anyone can turn up, should they end up with rather more than 50 people there, like once happened with Packet House.
I suppose it'll be like in that 1942 film "One of Our Aircraft Is Missing" when they were only allowed 200 people at the match in occupied Holland and the German police demanded that 50 leave! Never mind, three weeks to flatten the curve...

I was thinking more in the long term - maybe next season if we move towards full time. I wondered if that might be part of the thinking, unless Kidderminster is just more local for Dinanga.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Hemmings at a higher level though.

But will it help in any future bid for Ashley Hemmings? Or is that wishful thinking?

581
So Wrexham will be alright at least then (barring last minute tests).

Doesn't mean that the County match couldn't still be affected though, presumably... I rather suspect football will be affected if and when they bring anything in.

I must say I'm a bit surprised by it. I think they're a bit lucky to get a chance at a bigger club after the Chester "City" debacle! :)

« on: December 25, 2021, 08:24:34 PM »
Sounds exciting and full of promise, welcome Isaac and good luck.

If the right striker doesn't come along, so be it - I'd rather stay as we are rather than signing another dud out of desperation like that journeyman lad we had last year, can't even remember the name of him now.

I think I get it now. In the absence of a top class number 9 until we go full time (hopefully), we just play 5 attacking midfielders instead. And by creating enough chances, some of them are bound to be scored, even if it's Jake Moult on the end of them.

To be fair, our goals scored is pretty decent this season anyway. And worth remembering that we haven't had a good second season in the "Conference" (after getting into it) since 1980-81. I will still be very happy with the 14th to 16th place that I predicted.

And not to be confused with the good Piggott who got his "big" move to Ipswich . As opposed to the bad Phil Parkinson who got sacked off by Bolton (if my brain's not playing up!)
