Brian Barwick is known to want Luis Scolari. Jose Mourinho is too outspoken for England. The best of the English managers is Harry Redknapp. I have had a sneaky £10 on Steve Bruce at 66/1

Sure the FA have a forum for their team.

Glad England are out, won't have to hear about them all summer!

All you'll hear about now is who's next England manager. The frying pan will have to stay in for another couple of years.

I might have a go at it, I just took Doncaster to the champions league semi's on football manager, I might prefer to stay in club football though....

who ever we get will struggle with the current crop we need to change the whole mindset of the england set up as well as finding a decent keeper we seem to think we are better than we are croatia won because they were better than ours on a difficult pitch their control, passing, running off the ball, and general covering was streets ahead of ours and they won't even win the tournament. oh and we can kiss the next world cup goodbye as well.
we are seeded in the second group of european teams now how long before its the third.

Think its all to do with the quality of the group we were in, i mean macedonia beat croatia 2-0 and looked comfortable, we've just got to understand that most of the teams in there were well on the up and gus hiddink well he has done a great job making russia a very awkward team and isreal can now play a bit cant they

Gerrard/Terry/Beckham/Rooney would get in any team in the world. But we don't have a top class goalkeeper and there is no cover for Rooney/Owen. The defence is very overrated, Ferdinand and Campbell seem to fall asleep at vital moments. Wayne Bridge is an average 2nd division player at best and Lampard can't play in the same team as Gerrard. We need a manager who knows the difference between picking a team and picking the best players. Jose Mourino/Arsene Wenger/Alex Ferguson would all be perfect except for the fact they are not English. I honestly believe Graham Heathcote would make a good England manager, but the best of the ones being considered is Harry Redknapp. He has never actually won anything but we have to accept the fact that we no longer have great English managers to choose from and we have to pick the best available.

dissagree tottally with you saying Gerrard/Terry/Beckham/Rooney would get in any team in the world,
Terry maybe, the others you will find wouldnt get close to a Brazil side im afraid....this country's soooo blinkered....best league in the world and all that, we need to wake up,

Gerrard and Terry probably would get in most teams.

The rest have no hope. I agree this country needs to wake up to the fact that England are an ordinary team.

James, Neville, Cole, Terry, Ferdinand, Hargreaves, Gerrard, Beckham, Cole, Owen, Rooney
This is NOT an 'ordinary' team. There are many reasons why we are struggling to compete with Europes best at the moment. For me the main reason is that there are simply too many matches being played. No less than 5 of the above team were injured for the Croatia game.

well James is'nt champions league class for sure and it's questionable if Becks and owen could cut it now,

im going to book my flights to the finals and will enjoy being there without tattoo'd hooligans singing "god save are queen" thanks
will miss singing "three lion's on a shirt" though ;D
