Altrincham FC First Team / National League Petition
« on: February 01, 2021, 02:15:09 PM »
It seems the National League are trying to get it members and fans to push for grants over loans.

You can see/sign it here:

https://www.change.org/p/department-for-digital-culture-media-and-sport-save-the-national-league-football-clubs-with-urgent-support-grants-not-loans?utm_content=cl_sharecopy_27129613_en-GB%3A4&recruiter=1177617714&utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=copylink&utm_campaign=share_petition

In normal circumstance I'd say we shouldn't be begging for grants, but then I remember how much has been spent on consultancy and PPE procurement tenders.

A title fight for the Robins.

Altrincham FC First Team / John Edward's question
« on: January 26, 2021, 10:37:48 PM »
How does this compare to great conference sides of the past... I'm curious from some of our more *ahem* senior members.

Altrincham FC First Team / Matchday Routine
« on: January 25, 2021, 07:09:28 PM »
Football and emotional reason aside, what's the one specific thing you miss on a matchday.

I'll start the ball rolling - Chips, Gravy Peas and scraps about half 2 waiting for the team news to come through.

Altrincham FC First Team / Barnet Stream
« on: January 18, 2021, 01:45:22 PM »
£12.50

That's a bit silly. Shouldn't be more than £9.99, they'll not doubt have had everything in play for iStream

Altrincham FC First Team / Gould
« on: December 22, 2020, 03:11:41 PM »
Will he play? With all the sitting on a coach and not playing and sometimes not on the bench, would he benefit from going on loan and being ready should we need a GK

Volunteers from Altrincham Football Club have donated 85 bags of food to The Hub in Altrincham, which has been acting as a temporary food bank since April.

Following the first nationwide lockdown, the football club have been working closely with the site on Pownall Road.

Over the past few months Simon Dow, the Community Football Coaching Manager, and members of the football club have been gathering food packages for The Hub from five different primary schools. These included Stamford Park Juniors, Oldfield Brow, Cloverlea, Navigation and Altrincham CofE.

On top of this charitable support, the board of directors at Altrincham Football Club have given The Hub a separate cash donation to further their efforts.

As well as operating as a food bank, The Hub is providing other support services for the vulnerable.

This is excellent work by all involved but especially those connected to the club. 👏👏

Altrincham FC First Team / Football League Application
« on: December 05, 2020, 08:02:27 PM »
In the most opposite way to Fyldes 20202 masterplan, we've announced we're gearing up for a shot at Football League in the future.

So refreshing to hear the news of "Get ready to apply for the Football League" rather  to starve off relegation.

So glad we're going on the offence - both recently on the pitch rather than playing 4-6-0 and not begging for a new lawn mower.

Altrincham FC First Team / Quarter of the season gone
« on: November 30, 2020, 08:49:35 AM »
Just over, in fact, but do you think the league standard is better or worse than expected?

Do you think we will finish higher or lower than anticipated (based on where you thought we would finish with bit having Jordan)

Altrincham FC First Team / Night and Day
« on: November 28, 2020, 05:54:35 PM »
Compared to Aldershot.

Consistency is key to being midtable Vs a battle.

Smith and Senior have been outstanding and pushing Kosylo for player of the season.

Tom Peers in his most effective role today - coming on with 25 to go and causing problems for tired defenders.

Altrincham FC First Team / Chesterfield sign Asante
« on: November 27, 2020, 12:31:14 PM »
Interesting they've procured some extra fire power when keeping goals out seems to be the big issue - he wont be cheap!

But it does show signing a team's most important goalscorer mid-season is possible.

Altrincham FC First Team / (Sir) Graham Brady
« on: November 26, 2020, 12:05:47 PM »
The Club and every single fan-based locally should be putting pressure on Graham Brady to get Altrincham and Sale West out of tier 3 and into 2.

If not, that man should never be allowed to step foot in our ground again for his every-four-year photo op.

Altrincham FC First Team / Best stream yet
« on: November 18, 2020, 10:17:23 AM »
Win aside, I thought the quality of the steam, and its commentators were superb last night.

No disrespect to previous commentators, but it was one of the first games, it felt like watching a TV game rather than stream and radio.
