This whole Adam Johnson arrest thing means Duncan could very well get a start tomorrow night.

Don't see him actually starting, but appearing from the bench is a distinct posibility.

Some on their forum want him to start.
They say he would bring a bit of pace into the side.
The only downside, he is coming back from  injury.

According to BBC sport website Duncan's not even on the bench.

He isn't in the squad tonight. I would have thought Poyet would give him a chance. His other so called first choice strikers aren't exactly setting the world alight.

Keep your chin up Dunc. Your time will come fella.

Poyet sent off after a scuffle with Steve Bruce.

Don't think Mr P is long for Sunderland

Not much chance with the appointment of Advocaat.
Let's hope I'm wrong.

Old school,
I might be wrong but I don't think he has ever managed a premier club.
He is fighting to save relegation, so he's not going to take any chances.
As said before, hope he proves me wrong

On a side note, did anyone spot poor Duncan in amongst the chaos at the Sunderland v Villa game?

He was sat very sheepishly just above the dugout as fans beside him were chucking their scarves and stuff at the bench!

Looks like he might be getting his chance:

Let's hope that he does get his opportunity and that he grabs it with both hands.

Fair points - thanks.

Personally I think they're in such a pickle on the pitch they should make changes.  Dunc to start in my opinion.  Just give him a fair chance.

To say dunc should start in your opinion neither you or I know if he is good enough at that level I hope he is

The context, its lazy. I can see how these young players buckle under the pressure. Its a side story thats been sensationalised. Its about a new manager changing things not a club in crisis turning to a relative unknown that the previous 2 sh*te managers couldnt even be bothered to pick.

Anyway, thats my opinion.

As the first team were inept last week, somebody said they were like a pub team, I think he should get a fair go.  I too hope he gets a fair go.
