so far 3 0 Alty SBL
:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Great 👍esult. That could have gone wrong had they scored first. Well done Alty.

What a screamer by Josh Hancock for our 2nd goal, that one had flames coming from it!
-
Shame about conceding in stoppage time, but three more massive points. JJ's cross for Tom Peers to head home was absolutely top drawer.
You know you've got a poor set of officials when there's a 5 minute stoppage for floodliilght failure, and another 2 minutes for an injury, the board goes up for only 5 added minutes, and the ref only plays 4 ! Utterly bizarre.
I cannot ever remember racking up 15 points in less than a fortnight !
If we were only to draw on Saturday, we would be in the last play off spot, since Southport and Farsley have Trophy games. If we beat Guiseley, and Boston fail to beat Darlington, we'd go 6th. If (arguably less likely) Spennymoor fail to be beat Kettering, you can make that 5th !

Fair do's to Blyth who tried to play and just sit behind the ball, they just weren't very good.
Couldn't pick a mom, some outstanding performances all over.
Highlight was Hancocks screamer but some really good football played.
How their 7 walked off the pitch without at least a yellow I don't know.
On a great run which barring injurys should continue
-
That goal conceded was annoying. I shouted twice the wall was too far left, and there was a big gap to the right of the wall looking from our end, which their goalscorer exploited.
-
Well, the referee couldn't count the stoppage time or he was concerned about Blyth's long journey home or something. (I feel I should insert a puzzled emoji).
Whatever happened, even though the first goal was, if anything, slightly against the run of play, we finished extremely comfortable winners with the Hancock goal another contender for goal of the season.

Enjoyable evening’s football; Alty are bubbling with confidence at the moment and once they get a two goal lead, they seem to relax and play as though they believe that they can score from every attack. Hancock was immense again, but there was very little to criticise across the team (Tony’s kicking was off but I’ll not dwell on that). Mullarkey looks settled and keen and it’s pleasing that Ringo and TP have reasserted themselves in the starting 11 and the standard has not dipped. Competition for places has replaced ‘the team picks itself’ maybe. Can see us deserving a play-off place and then, who knows what.
Finally, top marks to whoever was responsible for the ‘Hi Ho-ing’ when their diminutive sub appeared; made me laugh that did. #coyr

My 8yr old lad’s first night game. he loved it. For anyone in the main stand he was the one trying to start songs. He’ll learn 😂.
For anyone that decided to stay home and watch Utd v City you missed out on an entertaining game with a top class goal.
Anyone know what was up with Hannigan at the end? He wasn’t happy as I’m sure the changing room door can testify.

If Darlington win their FA Trophy Replay tomorrow night, Boston will not have a game on Saturday.

I wonder if he was angry at conceding so late. Slightly took the gloss off. Blyth were tired second half. Witness the amount of time and space Hancock had for his goal, and the ease with which Peers drifted in for his, and the total lack of any attempt by Dale to tackle JJ before he struck the post. They were allowed back in by the substitutions disjointing things a bit and their subs adding some energy.

We've got a similar points return to Stockport at the same stage last season (in fact, I think we have a point more).
-
Worth attending just to see Josh's strike, some goal that. Had everything, true goal of the season contender. Thought Dens had a great game as did most others. As others say, there goal was annoying. The wall asked several times if they were in the correct position, clearly they weren't. Should have been 6/7 in reality. 5 out of 5 tremendous.

A glance at the form table; out of their last 8 games; BPA have played 7 teams in the top 9 (6 in the top 7) and lost all but us.
We'd be 5th without that debacle.

I don't fancy Darlington to turn Solihull Moors over to be honest.

Sorry, that was my fault as I didn't go. Only away league game I've missed so far. I'll pay my penance and go to Spennymoor next week 🙄

Amazing form long may it continue

Can't imagine Solihull would have been too focused on the Trophy with promotion to the football league on the cards.

First 11 games - 12 points, next 11 games 24 points. The last game of the first 11 was the 2-0 loss at Kidderminster, our 5th defeat. Since then only King's Lynn have bettered our record. We can't be complacent though, those games without JJ, BPA included, showed how we miss both his threat but also the space he opens up for others. That said, to eventually grind out those two wins vs Curzon and overcome Leamington away shows we've a bit more grit this season - after that awful start.
