One win and we'll clear them both - sounds easy doesn't it!
We've got to keep going, and hopefully put this season behind us sooner rather than later.
COME ON ALTY.
-
It might take 3 wins out of 5 games ,think it will be very unlikely if we don't win on Saturday
-
One possible scenario - it's between us and Guiseley for the last relegation place on the final day of the season and Braintree, already safely into the playoffs, let us walk a goal in against them to send Guiseley down.
-
Wow, I hadn't even thought of that scenario. I bet Guiseley have though lol. Alas, I think we'll be done by then unless we win our remaining two home games. A win at Braintree could then be strangely realistic!!!
-
It's actually all about us, plain and simple. The time for looking at other clubs' results has passed. And that's why I've given up.
-
I think the original post is more about who will finish 4th from bottom as we will finish 3rd from bottom
-
I concur that those two teams probably comprise our optimum targets to overtake.
However, one major problem could be that the penultimate round of fixtures includes Boreham Wood v Guiseley.
Not to mention the final fixture for both of those clubs:
Guiseley v Torquay;
Welling v Boreham Wood.
-
By my reckoning, we need to win the 2 home games plus probably a draw at Torquay to leave us with it anywhere near in our own hands going to Braintree. That would leave us 47 points going into the last game.
With so many teams playing each other you might not need 50 points this season............hopefully

You won't need 50 points to stay up this season. Which is encouraging, because we won't be reaching it.

I'd suggest, if winning at Torquay wasn't already the highest priorities, that keeping them in the mix for that final fixture is another good reason to do so.

We won't win at Torquay.

We won't win at Torquay.
Precisely. Since their new owners were unveiled they've won twice. Their tails are up.
-
We've won 11 in a year .. will we win again this season? :'(
