If approved by the NPL I think this will sound the death knell of the club. It is a frankly ridiculous proposal. Surely better to start again on a local pitch than go through this final humiliation.

I think he is a genuine weirdo.

What on earth is in it for him to take the club to Stafford?

Its over Jim, you've killed a club with a proud history.

I wish them luck with a phoenix club but I feel that they will be like us, full of people with a lot to say but who go missing when the work needs doing.  Can't see them rocketing through the leagues...

Sounds like Dr Leonard "Bones" McCoy: "Jim, this club's dead!"

Thats a bit harsh Ecky. I dont think theres a football club in the land that has 90% of fans willing to spend commit more than just being the 'average fan'. In fact i'd say given our following we probably have more commited fans that clubs twice our size.

They could relocate to Droylesden, do a Hyde and change their name to Manchester Victoria

I've belatedly realised the logic behind Rushe's decision. Having decided against moving his SCUM to SKEM, he's moving them from the MARSTON's Arena to MARSTON Road. This is simple enough for even the Northwich troll who brings us so much laughter on here to understand.

Of course, if this one goes tits up, his options are a bit more limited - though it should be noted that Hartlepool play at the VICTORIA Ground...... ;)

going to play devils advocate how about a merger with witton and become witton victoria it would be the only ground in britain where you would have to segregate the home fans

If they merge with Witton then they could name themselves Witton And Northwich City.

Witton and Northwich Knights (or WANK for short - they could have it plastered across their shirts)  ::)
