That's pretty much it. The level below that is a bit more difficult (Northwich one below Kersal I think who are having a real struggle this season) but not worth trying to work out on here, seeing as

a) it's rugby
b) the buyer isn't anything to do with rugby

n.b. in the context of pro semi pro I would say it was more BSN than BSP.

Interesting conjecture heard in boozer tonight suggests that, according to "sources" the new occupant will be using it for a sporting purpose, involving a ball, but not of the shape played with most recently there

Who the hell would want to play either code of rugby in Northwich?? I can't think of any club based close enough for whom that would be an attractive option.

If you read my post I used the word conjecture

For my money this doesn't indicate that any Rugby type organisation was involved, as subsequently proved by today's announcement.

The aforementioned conjecture was from a group of "Soccer" hating Rugger Buggers in my local. I never attached any real credance to it and only ever described it as rumour

On the subject of rugby, apparantly northwhich rugby have a lot of money and are putting players on 400 quid a week (which is a lot for that level - they pay the league below kersal)

HOWEVER have a decent sustainble set up going on in order to afford this

they have all sorts of of the field activites that fund the club, but arent neccessarily connected to the club or used by the fan - i think stables and aplayarea are were mentioned

Maybe Vics should look to this as an example in order to fund their new club

Jim "92.44%" Rushe got mixed up. He was offered Nick Faldo's old clubs to auction for a mitre ball reservation at Argos
