Serious suggestion this, if they give us that seated stand theyve got, to put behind the chequers end and that big terrace to put down the popular side, we should give them a 5 year ground share gratis.Do they own the fixtures and fittings?

post of the year that!

It was discussed at boardroom level many years ago when the drill field  was first under threat that vics would come to moss lane AND bring the drill field main stand (similar to weymouths and of the same era) to moss lane with them. I'm sure one of the regular club historians can back me up on that. that seated stand at vice ground is low enough and narrow enough to sit behind the chequers end

Question being would we jeopardise our relationship with Man United (Reserves, Youth Cup, odd ad-hoc friendly) to accommodate Vics?

At the risk of sounding callous I've already had that coversation with a few mates today.

Normally, the appeal by the club for volunteers to come in during the summer and give the stands a fresh lick of paint tends to fall on deaf ears...

Could we not just buy the stand very cheaply?

If the stadium/land has been bought by a third party - chances are theyll only want the land

In order to cover the cost/reduce the cost to the club - Just thinking of the top of my head - but if we offered companys/indiivudals the chance to buy a raffle ticket for a price and the winner names the stand?

I say buisness as if its a few grand, then 40 companies at £100 would make £4000

Quality idea.  We could then log onto DHL and get a price for delivering it...

Let the dog die.  Same as Darlo. Same as Chester.  Same as Scarborough.  Same as Halifax. Same as etc...

Start afresh and one day the Alty V Green Slime fixture will be back.

I for one firmly believe that every football club, no matter where in the world they are, needs a local rival.
I have always enjoyed the matches between Alty & Vics as you never know what each match will throw up.

The turmoil the Vics fans have seen in recent years has been disgraceful and I sincerely hope things can be resolved for the better.

things are going to get worse before they get better for Vics.  It has reached a point where letting tyhe club die is the most positive step they can take.  Tough medicine, take it Vics and get sorted out.

Interesting conjecture heard in boozer tonight suggests that, according to "sources" the new occupant will be using it for a sporting purpose, involving a ball, but not of the shape played with most recently there

Rushes new business idea is based on triangular billiards.  Connnett is planning a marina made from lego...
