Vics finished and evicted.
« on: January 17, 2012, 03:36:07 PM »

Worst news for us I am afraid we have been evicted from the Victoria stadium as of friday, The ground has been bought by somebody who wants us out.
So pretty much goodbye from us.

Where's this information from? I suppose it would explain Preece jumping ship...

Feel sorry for the everyday Vics fans who just wish to turn up and watch their team play.

Had many great tussles with them over the years, hope something works out for them.

Club Statement

NORTHWICH Victoria Football Club has today been dealt a further blow following the departure yesterday of management team Andy Preece, Andy Morrison and Darren Ryan.

The club has been issued with a notice to vacate the Victoria Stadium after learning from joint charge receivers at business advisory firm Deloitte Touche that a third party bid for the land has been accepted.

It is not known at this stage who the buyers are.

The club has asked Deloitte for further information, but has not yet received a reply.

In the meantime, owner Jim Rushe is seeking legal advice on the club’s current position.

Arrangements for forthcoming home matches, including next Tuesday’s scheduled Mid Cheshire FA Senior Cup semi final against Winsford United, will be announced shortly.

Alas, must only have been 95.687949%

Can't say I'm not gobsmacked by this news. What a shambles for our old rivals, but the club has not been right for years.

No, silly! That was yesterday!

In answer to this explaining AP leaving. Apparently he knew nothing of it!

Read this and checked the date at the top.... Thought it was an old thread!

Hope they pull through - if we don't go up, it'd be nice to have a derby next season

Rushe is an absolute bell-end. I think Vics are in terrible trouble now. Would a run to the Trophy Final save them? Would their fans have the appetite to reform if the worst happens? Would Witton let them share?

Sad times. Nobody should lose their club.

I heard they can't share with Witton

@simmo_on_sport It's just one thing after another with Northwich Victoria. Feel so sorry for their fans. Poss ground-share with Witton?
@bfcmatchupdates Absolutely no chance for reasons that I'll go into later if I have more time!

Simmo:-
I have been promised a statement by Deloitte, but it may not be issued until tomorrow. Too early to assess repercussions at the moment.

Northwhich Vics fans :- @simmo_on_sport what happened to the 25 yr lease?

Simmo:- Current lease is with Deloitte until the end of the season. However that is superseded by any arrangement to sell land.

Copied from twitter also :-

Bailiffs walked in yday afternoon to serve notice by hand. I'm told Deloitte had no obligation to inform club before then.

And, the former managers claim they had no idea - one has only just found out apparantly

To follow up my schnide comment earlier up this thread I'm gutted for every single vics fan who has had to go through what has been essentially a sh*tty 6 years or so.

however I do hope that for their sake that they don't get another "saviour" because well... they are normally the likes of Jim 'Jackanory' Rushe or Mike 'Marina' Connett. A fan based club in the NWCL would make far more sense.

Right, ok you lot, own up....

Seriously though, what a carry on they've had. Every time they seem to be settling down it's a case of one step forwards followed by two steps backwards towards a precipice.

Could do with them just sorting it out now. I was starting to look forward to possibly playing them and/or Chester and/or Stockport next year.
