Inspirational Stuff last night
« on: December 24, 2008, 11:38:07 AM »

One of my better decisions of 2008 was to abandon thoughts of going to Droylsden v Chesterfield last night in favour of attending the Carol Service in the Noel White Suite.

The place was packed & congratulations must go to Club Chaplain Andy Barclay-Watts for putting on such an outstanding event. The singers & musicians did a brilliant job & great credit to the players for their excellent rendition of 'Once in Royal David's City'.Barry Pond & Robbie Lawton read from the 'Good Book' & there were a couple of interesting interviews, including one with Kevin Street about his career & his faith.

Lisa Jones did a great job with the raffle which raised £126 for The Sale Baptist Church Homeless Project.

Ballers & myself were in particularly good voice ;D

Well done to everyone involved!

Would that be the same"good voice" which hurls abuse at the officials from the press box? ;) ;) ;)
