Looking good is it not  ;D

If I can count that is 18 players. A good healthy squad number as well. Perhaps one more striker needed?

I strongly suspect (although I don't know) that we are pretty much at full budget with the squad now.

Any other additions to the squad would probably be loans.

That is who I was thinking of but not seen him play, but by all accounts he knows where the net is and score a few already as a trialist in pre season.

May be one of those players that scores against lower division teams like Abbey Hey, Colwyn Bay and Northiwch but struglles against opponents at our level..

I was speaking to a rochdale fan about Ben Muirhead and she seemed to think that he was good and would definitely be a quality player at our level. I havent seen him play but what does everybody else think?

Only saw him first half against Colwyn Bay and thought he looked average.

Fair enough. Can't wait for tonight. My first taste of pre season.

if there's only room/money for one more I think we goalkeeper cover so I can see it being Saunders (who has looked pretty good).

Would love a keeper and a striker.

This is definitely the best looking squad we've had in a number of years in my opinion ... even I'm tentatively optimistic about the coming season!

Wasn't McManus a 'youth' player at Chester and as such supposedly on £45 a week?
If so surely we can afford his wage 'demands'!!?

With him on the books too, we'd have a very strong squad indeed. In fact for the first time in a long time, it would be very difficult to pick the best team as all the so called squad players are, it seems, of first team quality (which hasn't always been the case in the past).

It just goes to show the progress we're making as a club on the field and is very heartening

still not sure about mcmanus (cue 20 goal season), seems very like senior and not quite as sharp, if your starting with johnson, little and senior then you would bring denham on before him , cover for injury but not a sarter in my book
