Apparently standing water on it now (perhaps start forking it?) and more rain forecast.  See official site.

This could all be so easily avoided if we had a winter break from early November until early April.

No - but the danger is clearly waterlogging. Posts on the Bradford forum aren't exactly brimming with optimism as to the chances of the game going ahead - and they have had pitch problems already this winter. Fingers crossed ...

What is it with Yorkshire pitches. There is more rain to the west of the Pennines, but the north western clubs don't have such bad problems.

Is this the sort of pitch geoff bloody boycott is always banging on about?  uncovered pitches blah blah blah.
