Wrexham Match Thread
« on: October 26, 2022, 09:45:31 AM »

Tough as it gets. They haven't been as dominant as i thought they would be. I think we will be defending for long periods. The front man is going to have to hold the ball up much better than last night

                              Byrne

Barrows.    J. Jones.  Cooper.  E. Jones

                    Osborne.     Lundstram

          Kaja.      Conn-Clarke.  Colclough

                             Hulme

No score prediction but this wont define our season.

Good luck to all

They dont seem to start games well but they come good in the 2nd half.  I'll take better than last year be nice to get a goal or at least be more than 2 mins before they score

It will be one of our hardest games this season.

I will be happy with an improvement on last seasons score

Definitely need Jordon up top to hold the ball up.

Free hit this as we venture into the land of the giants & all those lethal set pieces.

They absolutely pummelled us at Easter so good test to see if we have managed to find a more effective solution. We’ve generally played alright against the big boys this season so fingers crossed for a good showing.

If you have not yet got tickets I wouldn’t hang about, there was another tranche released this afternoon and they are selling quick. And remember there is no pay on the day and it’s looking like we will sell out like last year, You can only get tickets from this link below, NOT the Wrexham
Website and NOT the Altrincham website

I’d be happy with an injury free game with no red or even yellow cards. Maybe a post lacking ambition? 😁

Nope - just realistic. Mind you, if THEY pick up a couple of red ards, it can only be helpful 🤣

Free hit ??? Christ they may be good at this level, but no world beaters. Keep Mullin in check & run at the back-four, no problem.

Ever optimistic, on our day we can match them all.

Stating the bleeding obvious of course, but the Tozer long throw - Ollie Palmer flick on is a major threat for them, never mind Mullin. Let's not  surrender possession in the last third like we did far too easily last season and keep the unecessary throw in / corner count to an absolute minimum.

I think Parkie will either keep the same team OR bring Jackson in on the right wing to help protect the defence.

Kaja starting? We don't shy away from controversies on this forum (mostly)!

Good luck to all.

That was depressing. The BBC text service went straight from "Wrexham v Altrincham" to "Wrexham 1-0 Altrincham" as I remember. Poles apart though. Hundreds of thousands on one player at Wrollywood...
