The title race is wide open , I reckon Chester won't be far off.

Altrincham are eight points off the lead, and also eight points off the relegation places. Going to be a very interesting last two-thirds.

Since losing at Telford on August 25th, Chester have gone 10 games unbeaten in the league (W6 D4). The draws include away points at Chorley, Brackley, and Guiseley. That is the form of champions, and if they win their two games in hand they would go top. A real test for us next Saturday.

I suspect too next Saturday we will be playing the eventual Champions, so will be an excellent benchmark for our young and improving team. We’ll definitely need to be clinical and have a bit of luck too.

The whole league is fascinating from top to bottom, so much better than a bankrolled club running away with it.

Chester are 11/1 to win the league with Paddy Power if you fancy following your convictions.

I've also had another fiver each way on us. I did us preseason at 22-1, and Paddy is now offering a very generous 40-1. I believe we're capable of a top three finish if things drop right.
